WCW Comic Book Reading Club: Issue One, Page 6

    • WCW Comic Book Reading Club: Issue One, Page 6

WCW: The Comic Book was published in the early 90s by Marvel Comics. Nobody in wrestling or comics paid it much attention, and after 12 issues, it was cancelled and lost to the ages. Until now.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, @tomblackett will post a new page of the WCW comic with his comments and we’ll read through it together. We’ll be there for each other, through the good (Vader! The Steiners! Sting! Cactus Jack!) and the (Johnny B.) Badd.

WCW: The Comic (Issue One, Page 6)

WCW: The Comic is probably the property of Marvel Comics / WWE, though I’m not entirely sure. This website makes no claims to own it; all panels and images are posted in the spirit of fair use and are the property of their respective owners and creators.

Tom: I told you he’d get eliminated! We also learn here that the sound of a giant Argentinian throwing two men off his back is ‘w-thunk‘, so there we go.

The best bit about this page is an (off-model) Big Van Vader being a complete fucking prick. Even better, he’s a complete hypocrite about it. Just check out his burn on El Gigante:

It won’t fit around HIS waist, Vader? Really? That’s what you’re going for? Shall we start comparing body mass indexes here?

He continues to hurl stones from his glass house by targeting poor old P.N. News:

VADER HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT YOU’RE WEARING ON YOUR HEAD? At least P.N. News has got some fun colours going on. Jesus, that Vader. What a jerk.

You’ll be pining for the antics of Leon White come Wednesday though, when we’re formally introduced to Johnny B. Badd. Prepare yourself, it’s some shocking stuff.
