This Or That (6/11/2015)

    • This Or That (6/11/2015)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Which is more likely at Wrestlemania 32?

Undertaker vs. Sting – 55%, Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar – 45%

More likely to win the WWE Championship in 2015?

      Kevin Owens – 65%, Dean Ambrose – 35%

Who would you rather see in NXT?

      Rockstar Spud – 53%, Austin Aries – 47%

      Superior pizza?

      New York – 54%, Chicago – 46%

Who do you side with in their Twitter war: Hulk Hogan or CM Punk?

      WAR.

      Tim:

CM Punk is always so defensive and rude. I can’t imagine anyone ever getting along with him. Hogan is a huge mess as well but I have to take his side this time. He’s usually good for a laugh and this time he wasn’t the joke. I hope one day CM Punk gains a little self-awareness and loses the chip on his shoulder that he seems to carry around.

      Hulk Hogan

      Joey:

Hulk Hogan is 100% winning this public battle of insult exchanges. In terms of the insult, Hogan saying the Chicago hockey team is going home and CM Punk can show them how to do making reference to Punk leaving WWE was way more vicious than Punk’s routine  cursing and threatening. Hogan wins on that front. Add in the overall public perception from afar of Punk cursing out an old man engaging in banter with Phil and this is all Hogan. Hollywood never does the job and he definitely isn’t doing it for CM Punk. I now have a Stanley Cup Finals rooting interest. Let’s Go Hogan!

      Hulk Hogan

      Tom:

Hulk Hogan is a mad old dad who just spouts nonsense constantly, and he is all the better for it. The idea that The Punker responded to his trolling at all is funny, but for him to threaten a 61 year old man with violence over a silly Twitter jibe is hilarious. The Punker comes off as super pathetic whereas Hogan is a befuddled puppet master.

      Hulk Hogan

Who scares you more: Scott Steiner or Brock Lesnar?

Which person would you LEAST want to face in a fight?

      Tim:

I would definitely be intimidated by Brock Lesnar but he actually seems like a chill dude when he’s not in fight mode. Scott Steiner seems like a real loose cannon. All of the stories I’ve heard and read about him outside of the ring are legitimately inline with his TV persona. The man is nuts. It’s entertaining for now until he really does something stupif and it also sucks that it may be the reason we never see him on a weekly basis because he’s the most hilarious character in the business.

      Scott Steiner

      Joey:

Brock Lesnar is way more capable of doing damage but he still poses no threat to the Big Bad Booty Daddy. Scott Steiner is much more terrifying because he has to have legitimate anger issues based on how he lives his magnification life. Brock is the most intelligent business man in wrestling which means he’s just going to inflict enough damage to hurt you to the point where you just feel pain for a good few weeks. If you get Steiner in fight mode, nothing is going to stop him. Just ask DDP who Steiner almost legit killed backstage in WCW.

      Scott Steiner

      Tom:

Scott Steiner is an incredible human being but I trust Big Poppa Pump to only enact vengeance on those who deserve it (i.e. Hogan / Bischoff / their extended families). Lesnar seems like a guy who’s more in control of his emotions, but capable of horrific violence at the slightest provocation. Like, it’d just be a flurry of destruction over the course of just a few seconds but that’d be it, you’d be finished. I don’t need that. At least with Scotty, he’d curse you out a bit beforehand.

      Brock Lesnar

Bigger scumbag: Eric Bischoff or Vince Russo?

      Evil.

      Tim:

I think they’re both garbage people. The difference between them is that Eric Bischoff actually has some brains while Russo is a complete hack and should have never been a big name in the industry in the first place. Bischoff may have been underhanded and awful but he did some interesting things in his career and would take a chance for a dollar. Russo put pure filth on your TV sets and defended it vehemently.

      Vince Russo

      Joey:

For the longest time, I’ve felt Eric Bischoff was the worst dude in wrestling from afar. Lately, I’ve changed my stance and have started to understand why everyone in wrestling despises Vince Russo. As someone born and raised in NYC, my skin cringes every time Russo starts a statement with “I’m a New Yorker” to explain why he did or believes in something awful. At least Eric Bischoff is an intelligent and shrewd piece of trash. Russo is a foolish piece of trash. The ultimate tie-breaker would be Russo not wanting Hispanic wrestlers on his shows while Bischoff at least gave other styles of wrestling a platform in WCW.

      Vince Russo

      Tom:

I agree that Bischoff is smarter than Russo, and I think that gives him the edge in terms of scumbaggery – Russo is just a dumb mess of a human who’s responsible for awful happenings but doesn’t seem to be especially malicious. Bischoff seems very calculated and ruthless. He’s operating on a whole different level to Vinny Ru.

      Eric Bischoff

Better McDonalds meal: 20 piece McNuggets or Big Mac w/ fries?

      Apologies to our vegetarian friends.

      Tim:

I’ve been known to enjoy McNuggets and I’ll always be known for enjoying them. I can even get down with a Big Mac on occasions… but McNuggets are the real reason to go to McDonald’s. The dipping sauces amp them up to a higher level. The conversations you share over these tiny chicken foods are essential to everyone’s growth. They create friendships. I don’t care for fries.

      20 piece McNuggets

      Joey:

Both foods are disgusting but McNuggets are superior in every way to the overrated Big Mac and awful french fries. The dipping sauces are very clutch in improving the McNugget experience. Hell, I would rather have 5 containers of BBQ or Sweet N Sour sauce that have to try to finish the Big Mac and fries. When I was your age, 6 McNuggets were the price of what 20 are today. Remember the 90’s?

      20 piece McNuggets

      Tom:

Guess what, trolls – I still like a Big Mac. That’s not to disrespect nugz but they can be a pretty distressing experience sometimes when you get one that’s got some gristle or bone in it. I’ve never had experiences like that with a Big Mac, and McDonald’s fries are delicious trash. Basically, a Big Mac meal is an actual meal whereas I only view nuggets as a challenge. The Big Dog loves a good challenge but I don’t always need it when I’m just trying to get some delicious nourishment.
