It was totally a work. Don’t be a jab tonier nerd. It might have worked itself into a shoot but I think it was mostly a work. The timing of The Wrestling With Shadows documentary being filmed to a lot of the way things went down after the match on-air seem highly suspicious to me. I don’t really know. Part of me wants to think it was real but I really would like to think it was a stroke of genius and was really a work.

The stellar Wrestling With Shadows documentary always makes me question if it was a work with the convenience of it being filmed but I can’t imagine it being all staged out so perfectly. Wrestling is full of egos and there’s no way that either Bret or Shawn wouldn’t have blurted out it was a work at some point during their time periods on the outs with WWE.

Was it a work? No. However, I do have my suspicions that Bret was a jabronie mark without a life that don’t know it a work when you work a work and work yourself into a shoot. I do wish we could get a 2014 version of Wrestling With Shadows though. Imagine if a documentary crew had been following CM Punk right around the time he walked out, what a great time that’d be. Just ol’ Philip Brooks saying obnoxious things and then some delicious backstage bust-ups.

Better original WWE PPV theme: Survivor Series elimination matches or King of the Ring tournament?
Better WWE PPV idea?
Tim:
Survivor Series is cool but it can never match up to a one-on-one tournament like King of The Ring for me. It catapulted a few to stardom, has a catchy name, and is just so much fun to watch. The only downside is the goofy “king” gimmicks. I wish WWE would bring it back or that NXT would do a Queen of The Ring tourney. I also feel like Cesaro was made to be a King of The Ring winner.

I absolutely love one night tournaments but it’s Survivor Series here. I’ve been watching some of the older Survivor Series matches and there’s such a fun charm to it. The teams having cheesy names and mini-storylines intertwining always provide entertainment. I especially loved the one time teaming of partners who hated each other in 1995 captained by Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon. Seeing heels and faces forced to team together and falling victim to their hatred for each other was such simple and magnificent storytelling.

I’ve never really cared for either but most of the Survivor Series matches have been real lame ducks for the past 15 years. I like the weirdness you get with some of the team combinations, but most of the time, it’s just a big mid-cardy mess with no-one really standing out. King of the Ring was also victim to feeling too thrown together, but there was generally a couple of fun story threads to keep things tied together.

Better Survivor Series PPV: 1996 or 2002?

As a self-certified Wrestling Attire Aficionado I can not in good conscience give the thumbs up to any show where Shawn Michaels gear was as hideous and awkward as it was at the 2002 Survivor Series event. Also, it was a good show but can’t compare to the 1996 event which is way more historically important for a few reasons. Hey, Joey, tell these people why it was historically important. Thanks!

Two of my favorite wrestling shows of all time, I’m going to have to side with Survivor Series 1996. It has such historical significance of The Rock’s debut, Mankind vs. Undertaker having one of their many battles and the start of the Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart saga. Also, Sid beat Shawn Michaels for the WWF Title while the smark NYC fans booed the face Michaels and cheered Sid. I’d lose my Sid fan club presidency if I dared picked against 1996.

AW JEEZ. I’d need to rewatch both of these to have a proper opinion, but I have a lot of affection for the first Chamber match. HBK with your mum’s haircut and poop brown tights, RVD crushing Triple H’s throat with his big heavy muffin man body, just a non-stop laugh from start to finish.

Superior fruit: Apples or Bananas?

Bananas have a horrible consistency and they make my tongue itchy. I’m not even allergic to them. They’re kind of slimy and weird. Call me crazy, but I think apples are near perfect. Every variety of Apple is delicious and refreshing while every banana is a risk. Nice brown slimy chunk you just bit off there, friendo. Hope it was worth the time it took to peel down the useless soft fortress it has around it. Be sure to ruin my Mario Kart game with that trash to show what a great healthy eater you are.

Bananas are the best fruit in the world. Apples are so weak, they aren’t even the most valuable brand under its name. Steve Jobs took over the legacy of the word Apple and the fruit is becoming obsolete. Read about it. Plus it’s all gross and makes you chew loudly like a vulgar rapscallion. Bananas provide the most wonderful snack and can be much easier be implemented into a dessert.

I love bananas, but you get MAYBE two days where they’re completely delicious and not too ripe/unripe. Apples are far more consistent and they have the crunch that can’t be beat.
