This Or That (1/20/2015)
Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.
Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the
false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinionchance to join the conversation! Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

More likely to have a great match at Wrestlemania 31: Sting or Roman Reigns?
Which unlikely feat is more likely?
Tim:
I feel like Triple H is more likely to bring a decent match out of Sting. I’m not sure anyone can do that with Roman Reigns at this point. Even his match against Rollins was not very entertaining to me and Rollins very rarely has matches that don’t draw me in.
Sting
Joey:
Sting is facing Triple H and Triple H has been on fire over the last year. Great matches with Daniel Bryan and The Shield. Excellent promos. Getting fruit baskets from the internet wrestling community. (That’s what they signed the card as.) In Triple H I trust.
Also, Roman Reigns sucks.
Sting
Tom:
There was a Bound For Glory a few years ago (2011, maybe?) where my main man Sting “The Steveman” Borden had a decently fun match with the mostly immobile Hulkster so I’m confident he’ll be able to pull out another **1/2 classic with Triple H. Sadly, I can’t say the same for “The Powerhouse” Roman Reigns.

Better Royal Rumble moment: Shawn Michaels winning as #1 entrant or John Cena’s surprise return win at #30?
Which memorable Royal Rumble moment was better?
Tim:
I’m much more of a Shawn Michaels fan so when HBK went on from being the number one entrant to ultimately winning that Royal Rumble… well, that is one of my all-time favorite wrestling moments! That being said, I can not deny Cena’s surprise return this spot. It was a COMPLETE surprise which is almost unheard of. The crowd reaction was one-of-a-kind and made for the best Royal Rumble moment ever.
John Cena’s surprise return win at #30
Joey:
The Shawn Michaels moment was indeed a classic but John Cena’s return is the greatest moment in Royal Rumble match history. I was starting to become really in tune with the internet world of inside information and NO ONE was reporting that Cena would return or was even close to returning at the time. Any time you watch that moment, everyone was in pure shock in that crowd. The place exploded before turning to boos because it was Cena. I doubt we’ll ever be as surprised again at a Royal Rumble moment.
John Cena’s surprise return win at #30
Tom:
There’s nothing I like better than a Madison Square Garden Royal Rumble and, to be honest, I don’t give too much of a fuck about much of ’90s Shawn Michaels’ work. Mark one up for the Cenation.
John Cena’s surprise return win at #30
Better wacky Royal Rumble moment: Maven eliminating The Undertaker or Drew Carey’s Rumble appearance?
Which wacky Royal Rumble moment was better?
Tim:
I can’t find any redeemable qualities about the Drew Carey spot. It was handled okay for a guest appearance. I wish Kane would’ve accepted the money and eliminated himself but besides that it is pretty forgettable to me. Maven eliminating the Dead Man who spent too much time in this realm because he fell in love with motorcycle culture was pretty funny. At the time it was pretty wild.
Maven eliminating The Undertaker
Joey:
I will say that Drew Carey in the Royal Rumble was outstanding and a top 5 celebrity moment in wrestling but come the fuck on, dudes. Maven eliminating The Undertaker was a wonderful work of art that wrestling is better off for. ‘Taker was doing his stupid Red Demon or Big Red or whatever the dumb heel nickname was. I remember popping huge. The aftermath was great too with Taker throwing Maven’s head through a popcorn machine.
Fun fact – Maven was never eliminated and rightfully deserves a Wrestlemania main event.
Maven eliminating The Undertaker
Tom:
MAVEN ALL THE WAY. I bet he’s still picking shards of popcorn machine glass out of that stupid bald head of his.
Maven eliminating The Undertaker
Better ice cream flavor: Vanilla or Chocolate?
Age old debate.
Tim:
I hate to be boring but vanilla is just the way to go if you have to pick between the two. It’s perfection in its simplest form and goes well with almost anything. I am not a big fan of chocolate in any capacity anyway.
Vanilla
Joey:
Vanilla is too consistent, reliable and versatile to argue against. Cookies and cream, french vanilla, cherry vanilla. It’s all too perfect. Think about it. All the best wrestlers were referred to as “vanilla midgets.” Because vanilla was the best and Kevin Nash was intimidated by it. If you vote chocolate, Nash will tear another quad. A man’s health is in your hands.
Vanilla
Tom:
FUCK MAN, IT’S A CLEAN SWEEP FOR US THIS WEEK, WE’RE ALL IN 100% AGREEMENT ON EVERYTHING. I like chocolate in small quantities but it gets to be a bit much after a while. Vanilla is for life. Vanilla is forever young. We love Vanilla.
