    Wrestlers vs. Zoo Animals

Two things we love here at Wrestling On Earth are pro wrestlers and zoo animals. There have been many photos circulating of wrestlers visiting zoos. We decided to compile the best and put them all together.

For you, the reader, we will closely examine each of these photos and learn at least one important tidbit worthy of loving, living and sharing. Only because we’re professionals like that.

    Daniel Bryan

    koalabryan

Featured in our How To Be The Best In The World feature, Daniel Bryan spends some time with a koala.

What we learned: Everyone wants to hug Daniel Bryan, even koalas.

    The Miz

    mizkoala

Another wrestler featured on our site in the past, The Miz also spends some time with a (less fortunate) koala.

What we learned: Don’t feel bad next time you fall asleep during a Miz promo – cute animals do the same.

    Jeff Hardy

    zoohardy

Jeff Hardy with a snake. The snake looks to be very dangerous.

What we learned: Jeff Hardy looks way too comfortable with a dangerous animal around his neck.

    CM Punk

    KOALACMpunk

The koalas are back as CM Punk stares one down.

What we learned: Judging by their facial expressions, the koala isn’t straight edge and CM Punk disapproves. He probably also feels sorry for it because it doesn’t have any tattoos.

    Triple H

    zoohhhkangaroo

    Triple H feeds a kangaroo.

What we learned: I know it’s supposed to be about the animal interaction, but is that a FANNY PACK in Triple H’s other hand? Fanny packs confirmed to be THAT DAMN GOOD (and WWE’S COO confirmed as not understanding that you’re meant to wear them around your waist). Continue reading →

    Over/Under: 9/9/2013

Is it possible to predict the future of the wrestling world? Given that ‘plans change’ might as well be the official motto of the WWE, this might be easier said than done, but in Over/Under, we’re still gonna try!

Each week, we’ll choose five scenarios and then predict how likely they are to come true, by saying whether it’s ‘over’ (i.e. we think it’s over the odds that it’ll happen) or ‘under’ (i.e. we think it’s under the odds). As usual, members of the site @TimWelcomed, @typicalROHfan and @TomBlackett are on hand to embarrass themselves by being the ones to make the predictions.

9.5: Total Triple H appearances on RAW tonight.

With the corporate heel Hunter as dean of the WWE Universe, he makes many appearances. Counting live promos, backstage segments, recaps and any other form of short haired Triple H, we’ve set the total appearances for him on tonight’s Raw at 9.5.

    HHHisKingAndWereAllSimpletonPeasants

    Tim:

OVER. OVER. OVER. There’s not many words that describe The Cerebral Assassin quite like “over.” He knows they love him as a good guy or a bad guy so he’ll give The WWE Universe what they want. I’m going to say that we’ll see Triple H a record breaking sixteen times tonight. Recap videos, backstage segments with Stephanie McMahon and/or Vince McMahon, In-ring promos… There are so many chances to see The Game tonight that the world HAS to tune in. Oh, and I’m sure he’ll humiliate Goldust in some way.
    OVER.

    typicalROHfan:

I’m going with the OVER because The King of Kings is OVER as a ratings juggernaut, brother. With Monday Night Football returning and ratings significantly declining last two weeks, there’s only one solution. More Triple H. My predictions are at least two promo segments (one opening, one closing and likely one with Edge), at least five backstage segments and at least four highlight video packages of things he said this or last week. ESPN may have a football “game” but do they have THE Game? I don’t think so. I’m going with 10-13 HHH appearances tonight.
    OVER.

    Tom:

Call me an optimist, but I’m going for under. Even though Triple H might be set on being the focus of the show, I’m hoping he also realises that an ULTRASTAR (copyright Brad Ward) of his magnitude needs to limit his appearances. Always keep them wanting more, y’know? Now, there is literally no historical evidence that demonstrate that philosophy as being one The (sigh) King of Kings believes in, but man, I really, really want to enjoy Raw tonight! Edge and Goldust are both returns I’m actually looking forward to, so I don’t want to be chased away to playing video games just so Triple H can further cement ‘best for business’ as a t-shirt worthy catchphrase!
    UNDER. Continue reading →

Wrestling On Earth Fantasy Draft: Round Eight

    Brad’s pick: FOREVER HOOLIGANS

    forever-hooligans-draft-card

    Brad:

I think Forever Hooligans are the perfect team to work my base roster of talent as they have the gimmick that casual fans can connect with as they are a throwback to the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff.

They come off as two natural villains and also have the in-ring work experience to go. I feel their singing of the Russian anthem would draw a great negative reaction to them, especially in the United States.
