    * Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler lobbied hard to do a topless scene in the movie Mercy, an upcoming film by writer Scott Caan, but director Patrick Hoelck nixed the idea. Hoelck soon changed his mind and okayed the scene with Keibler, but Keibler nixed the idea herself. Keibler was then dropped from the film altogether. The role has since been given to a “no-name” actress.

    * At last Tuesday’s SmackDown taping, a fan jumped the barricade and punched one of the Edgeheads. Chavo Guerrero’s bodyguard Bam Neely jumped in and pummeled the guy before security arrived to break it up. Had the show been live, the incident probably would have been visible on camera, but WWE managed to completely edit it out of Friday’s broadcast.

    * The recently released Ring of Hell: The Story of Chris Benoit and the Fall of the Pro Wrestling Industry book has an account from a former WWE writer claiming that Stephanie McMahon would “relentlessly” badmouth her brother Shane McMahon to pretty much anyone who would listen during his time in the company. The former WWE writer also notes that Stephanie can be really confrontational at times. Here is the passage from the book concerning this:

“Stephanie’s not as smart as she thinks she is,” says one former WWE writer. “You can’t tell her a damn thing; she was confrontational about her stupidity, like coming up to you and saying ‘I know you think I don’t deserve this job!’ To be honest, put fake (breasts) on a rattlesnake and that’s Stephanie. She’s a conniving little (c-word) who I personally saw bury her brother Shane relentlessly to people in the industry, I mean just (expletive) all over her own brother. She’s disgusting; she’s got that Lady Macbeth ego to her.”

    This Or That (12/9/2014)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

    Who do you side with?

    CM Punk – 92%, Triple H– 8%

    Who do you side with?

    CM Punk – 61%, Ryback – 39%

    Who do you side with?

    CM Punk – 80%, Chris Jericho – 20%

    Which would you rather?

Wrestle a match with Ryback – 60%, Let CM Punk punch you in the fucking throat – 40%

More likely: CM Punk wins a UFC championship belt or Batista wins an Oscar?

Which new career is more likely to reach an unthinkable success?

    CMBatista

    Tim:

I think Batista has pretty good potential as an actor. I like him in movies way more than I have ever liked him as a wrestler but I am not so confident in anyone ever casting him in a role that could lead to an Oscar for him. I think he could possibly pull off a good enough performance if given the chance though.

CM Punk is a determined individual. I think his pride and determination could very well lead him to doing better in UFC than most people think… or end in him being super bitter and grumpy about the whole experience. So, I guess I’m going with CM Punk here but really WHO KNOWS?

CM Punk winning a UFC Championship

    Joey:

I don’t think Batista will ever get a serious role in a depressing film. Only serious movies with depressing themes win Oscars. Batista will just get fun characters in high budgeted Summer flicks.

Dana White loves CM Punk. Plus I’m sure Paul Heyman can manipulate the system where they introduce UFC Tag Team Titles which Brock Lesnar and Phil Brooks will hold forever. In all seriousness, I can see CM Punk finding a weird route to a title while the Academy will never stop snobbing out Big Dave.

CM Punk winning a UFC Championship

    Tom:

As much confidence as I have in “Big” Dave “Batista” Bautista’s acting abilities, Hollywood is NOT ready for him. They can only handle one wrestling superstar at the top of  their system at once and they’ve gone with ol’ Dwayne Johnson this generation. Yes, they fucked up.

Meanwhile, UFC is a total fucking work for confirmed jabronie marks without a life so I’m sure they’ll let Phil “The Punker” Brooks win one of their bullshit belts.

Seven Things: 7 Wrestlers With A Midlife Crisis In Wrestling History

Welcome to Seven Things, a weekly list that consists of very eclectic topics.

This week, we’re going to take a glance at the list of some of your favorite pro wrestlers who have gone through or are still going through a midlife crisis before our very eyes. The plight of the midlife crisis happens to the best of us but much like most entertainment industries, egos run prevalent in the world wrestling which just makes it more fun and frequent.

    7. Hulk Hogan

    hogan

Perhaps the longest midlife crisis going, Hulk Hogan is currently 60 years old and has been going through his midlife crisis since the WCW days. Turning heel, Hulkster seemed way too happy to be the bad ass heel for the first time in his career as he was hitting his mid 40’s. You can argue the NWO groups were just groups of dudes going through a midlife crisis together while color coding black and white or red and black.

Fast forward 15 years and Hogan is spotted wearing Affliction shirts daily and dating a woman more than 20 years younger than him that “coincidentally” happens to look like a doppelganger to Brooke Hogan. The Hogan Knows Best household went through a collective midlife crisis as ex wife Linda Hogan went on to date 20 year olds and write a “tell-all book.” The top bullet points on what to do when panicking upon the realization that you’re old. Awkward Moment of the Week

Let’s be honest. Wrestling is weird. This a feature that highlights the pictures, videos, tweets and moments from the wrestling world that feels too weird to be true.

This week’s awkward moment features Vince McMahon using Twitter to let everyone know that The Miz will be ‘twerking’ (sigh) on Smackdown and… well, he gets a mixed response:
