  • Ask Brad Ward: 11/16/2013

Brad Ward is a true wrestling superfan. He watches more shows and supports more promotions than any wrestling fan we know. His insight is knowledgeable and unique to a point where we decided to host a weekly question and answer session with him.

To submit questions for next week’s edition of Ask Brad Ward, please use the Hashtag #AskBradWard on Twitter or submit them on AskFM. Brad will choose the best questions each week and answer them every Saturday here on Wrestling On Earth.

    1. Have you seen “Card Subject To Change?” Also, you are awesome.

Question comes from @smashley_ashley on Twitter via the #AskBradWard hashtag.

    Brad:

Thanks for the compliments. I have not because something about Kevin Sullivan irks me. I will give it a watch in the next month and review it in some shape or form.

    2. Is your Japanese arm drag still the most dangerous technique in your arsenal?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

In an American style match, definitely but it is just one of the many moves in a New Japan style match.

    3. Do you have ties to anyone important in WWE and TNA?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

WWE Games, yes. WWE, I converse with some WWE.com employees. As far as TNA goes, I have had discussions but they didn’t really go anywhere. I respect both companies for competing with juggernauts like NFL and NBA.

    4. How many people in WWE history do you consider to have been “the guy” at some point in time like Jericho and Edge have discussed?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Triple H, John Cena, Batista and CM Punk. The Undertaker is there too as while it took a while, he is bigger than anything in pro wrestling.

    5. Where did WWE go wrong with Ryback?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

I think when you do an undefeated streak like that, you can’t have the guy lose until he becomes champion. If you do have him lose, he has to get revenge and be the one who goes over in the end. Ryback has been a set-up guy ever since. First CM Punk‘s title reign, which led to The Rock, which led to John Cena and then Cena beat him over and over.

    6. Where do you see Ryback in 3 years?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

After the latest Smackdown, they seem to be taking him down to build him back up. I think the Goldberg match is a safe bet, so I think they will turn him or try to push him like a top babyface. I think if they stick with him, there is a chance he could succeed but if they don’t, he won’t. I like Big E Langston‘s chances better.

    7. How can the WWE fix The Miz?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

Push him as a mastermind behind The Shield or The Wyatt Family. Even just have him get sick of losing and cheat again. He is a natural villain.

    8. Who are the 5 best tag teams of the last 20 years?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

Very tough question but here goes in no order:

    • Hart Foundation
    • Beer Money
    • Young Bucks
    • Road Warriors
    • The Rockers

    9. How frequently do you use the WWE App?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

That’s like asking how often do you go to WWE.com because that’s what it is; a shrunken version of the website. I use it before tv starts to see where tapings are, I use it when doing attires in WWE Games. Do I use it during the show? Not really, sometimes if the match is hot or there is a video exclusive I will though.

    10. Does Bucky Boyd cut the best promo by a big man of all time?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

I think he has a very unique promo style and I like his look as well. It would set him apart from the usual Rock/Hogan style of promo.

    11. How close are you to buying a Wii U?

    Question from Anonymous via Ask.FM

    Brad:

Believe me, there is a part of me that is sad I can’t play Super 3D Mario World. However, Wrestlemania, Xbox One and PS4 take precedence. I will get one again on my birthday May 2nd though.
