News for the Week of September 30, 2013

    • Curtis Axel was recently asked to work some of Mr. Perfect‘s spots and mannerisms into his character as a tribute to his late father. At a few September house shows, Axel has tried to spit gum in the air and slap it into the crowd. 4 out of 5 times, it ended up with gum stuck in his hair.

    • The Big Show’s contract has been outed to us from one of our insiders. It contains several odd stipulations such as “All camo around The Big Show must be blue or else he can not display his sadness properly,” “All of Big Show’s tears must be preserved in containers for future science projects,” and also includes a monthly $245 “Big Pants Allowance.”

    • If Ryback can get over enough before Wrestlemania XXX there is talk that he will be considered a likely contender to end The Undertaker’s streak. We can confirm that Ryback will not be ending Undertaker’s streak.

    • Stephanie McMahon was greeted with a round of applause backstage after her promo on The Miz last week. A source stated “it was about time someone in power spoke up for the boys.” The locker room morale is said to be at an all time high with Miz being embarrassed weekly.

    Wasimperviz: Ask Me Anything

We took to Twitter to ask legend @Wasimperviz some hard hitting questions submitted by our readers. This is how it went.

    1. What is your stance on spam?

we do not allow any spam on our forum

    2. What do you consider spam to be?

    spam is going off topic

    3. Why do you like pro wrestling?

    same reason u do

    4. Why do you hate Mike Mondo? He seems like a nice enough guy.

    no comment.

    – WASIMPERVIZ then blocked us despite agreeing to answer anything. I guess his hatred of Mondo is larger than his respect for professionalism.

We apologize to those who asked questions that we were unable to get answers for.

Awkward Moment of the Week: Unfortunate Joey Styles Commentary

Let’s be honest. Wrestling is weird. This a feature that highlights the pictures, videos, tweets and moments from the wrestling world that feels too weird to be true.

This week’s awkward moment is a throwback to the reunion show ECW One Night Stand. Holding a grudge about Mike Awesome not being loyal to a company that didn’t pay him and defecting to one that would, Joey Styles says he wishes Mike Awesome took his own life doing a Suicide Dive.

Mike Awesome unfortunately went on to commit suicide a year and a half later.

Match of the Week: Hulk Hogan vs. Sting (WCW Fall Brawl 1999)

Many sites have a match of the week but ours is a little different. These matches are the ones that are fun to watch… in the non-traditional way.

This week, we’ve chosen Hulk Hogan vs. Sting from WCW Fall Brawl 1999. @TJHawke411 joins site members @typicalROHfan and @TimWelcomed to give their (lack of) expertise on this classic.

TJ Hawke comes to us from @Free_Wrestling and you can find our thoughts on another Hogan/Sting classic…..12 years later from TNA Bound For Glory over at FreeProWrestling.com

    Part 1: The match.

    Thy Kingdom Come: Deleted Scenes

Triple H’s 17th best of DVD was released this week. With a mind boggling name, “Thy Kingdom Come” couldn’t fit all of Hunter’s memorable moments. We were able to find one of the many extra discs of deleted scenes.

    Deleted Scenes

    • Triple H on racial issues

Notice the Stinger1981 writing in the corner? WWE subliminal message much?

Don’t think the disclaimer under the screen is a sign of compassion. Each bonus disc has a false “apology” that will let WWE know which person with a screened copy leaked it. (Sorry, Zack Ryder.)

    • Metallica video tribute

Wow! Metallica’s song was somehow cut from Thy Kingdom Come?! Sources say three WWE releases will be coming soon to pay Metallica’s “glutton pride” fees.

Is it me or do you see Cody Rhodes face at random times? OK, the subliminal messages aren’t that subliminal.

What a beautiful video showcasing the King in rare form. WWE’s editing seems to have gone down in quality, though. Weird.

    • Triple H on the WWE roster

Listen to The Game give his most candid thoughts on the WWE roster.

    Sexy Wrestler of The Week

Hear ye! Hear ye! It is time to gather ’round ye merry olde computer screens, because it is time to name the weekly award that everyone votes for. Sexy Wrestler of The Week.

Like last week, the normal vote-counter is on vacation and I am here again to announce to you what you’re all here begging to know… and no, it’s not that Adam Cole guy.

The majority of you have all seemed to wisen up and move on from to greener pastures. This is not to be confused with Louis “Greener” Pasteur, who is known for coming up with the cure for Ray Bees, an alien species of bees with the power to shoot sun rays from their foreheads, that haunted Earth during the 1800s. His nickname “Greener” came from his time in college where his friends found out that his favorite color was green. They really got him good… but that’s neither here nor there.

Okay…. Okay… I know. You just want me to tell you who the sexiest superstar of the week is. How dare I try to teach you anything when you’re all hot and bothered with anticipation. Was your voice heard? Of course it was and I promise 97% of you will be happy because that is the percentage of people who voted for this week’s winner.

There it is. You voted with your heart and all came to a great conclusion. Prince Devitt is your Sexy Wrestler of The Week by a landslide. I’m so very proud of you all for having great taste two weeks in a row. Will Prince Devitt continue on and beat Adam Cole’s records of Longest Running Winner and Most Times won? Only you can decide!

News for The Week of September 23, 2013

    • WWE are currently looking at fresh new tag teams to add to their roster. Currently getting eyes from talent scouts are ROH alumni, The Headbangers. WWE has sent out feelers for a Legion of Doom reunion of Road Warrior Animal and John Heidenreich, with the feeling in WWE being that those two teams could bring the tag division to new heights.

    • Seth Rollins and Kaitlyn have asked to break WWE‘s rule that all non-legends have a Twitter account. Both cited “unoriginal GOONS making the same joke about our hair on a daily basis” as their reason. Management responded by sending them an email with the guidelines on “How To Live Tweet Total Divas Without Watching It”

    • The Miz‘s dad aka MizDad was offered a NXT contract. With John Morrison gone, WWE is looking for someone to carry Miz in a tag team. More on this as it becomes available.

    • There are people who watched Total Divas during it’s first run and not Breaking Bad. This isn’t really news as much as it is something that should be addressed so that this world may get back on the right track.
