WCW: The Comic Book was published in the early 90s by Marvel Comics. Nobody in wrestling or comics paid it much attention, and after 12 issues, it was cancelled and lost to the ages. Until now.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, @tomblackett will post a new page of the WCW comic with his comments and we’ll read through it together. We’ll be there for each other, through the good (Vader! The Steiners! Sting! Cactus Jack!) and the (Johnny B.) Badd.
WCW: The Comic (Issue One, Page 5)
WCW: The Comic is probably the property of Marvel Comics / WWE, though I’m not entirely sure. This website makes no claims to own it; all panels and images are posted in the spirit of fair use and are the property of their respective owners and creators.
Tom: AND THE BATTLE ROYALE CONTINUES. Paul E’s SICK BURN to Missy about desperate men doing desperate things only kind of makes sense but it’s still acceptable. You’ve got to have realistic expectations when it comes to WCW: The Comic, so we’ll take what we can get.
It’s also fun seeing Diamond Studd wearing his sunglasses in the ring. Could it be the artist was only given the one publicity photo to work from and just assumed he wore them all the time, even though that would make literally no sense? Maybe!
We also see El Gigante being a big dude and quipping it up:
Between his legs though, we see the looming terror of P.N. News in his ‘Yo Baby!’ singlet.
Will pride come before a fall?
Will El Gigante be El Iminated?
SPOILERS: DEFINITELY YES BUT FIND OUT ON MONDAY ANYWAY.
