Neville and Lucha Dragons vs. Stardust and The Ascension on the Kick-Off show

      Joey:

I’m very happy about this match. Fun little match to the pre-show that continues a story and gets new people involved. Nice way to start the show. I’m not sure we appreciate Neville enough.

      Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Neville and Lucha Dragons win.

      Tim:

The Lucha Dragons and Neville are a pretty cool trio. The Ascension being paired with Stardust is probably as good as it gets for any of these gimmicks. This will be a good pre-show match as Kalisto, Neville, and sometimes Starfust are fun so watch.

      Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Neville and Lucha Dragons win.

      Tom:

I really don’t like Stardust! At all! I get what he’s doing and I’m all for variety but his character as it is right now just makes me sad to like a) wrestling and b) comics.  Same goes for The Ascension, so I guess it makes sense to have them together, but they’ll need some serious tweaking before I get into them as a team.

Neville and Kalisto are still very fun to watch but I want them to move on from what they’re stuck in right now. Have them wrestle each other! That’d work! Sin Cara can go back to NXT and team with Zack Ryder, that seems like it’d make sense.

      Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Neville and the Lucha Dragons win.

      Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev

      Joey:

I can say from attending both Summerslam and NXT: TakeOver Brooklyn shows live, this was the least fun match to watch during the entire weekend. I remember people saying hello to rapper Fabolous while it was going on. The two wrestlers have as much chemistry as they do with their romantic partners on air and it’s making for absolutely putrid television.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Dolph Ziggler wins.

      Tim:

I want to enjoy Rusev and think Summer Rae could be very entertaining but this match and the whole feud is a huge no-go for keeping. It’s just been the worst. It feels like it’s been going on for years. Nah.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Rusev wins.

      Tom:

Dolph Ziggler, man. Still the guy on the roster that I most wish wasn’t on the roster, for the good of everyone. He seems destined to be stuck doing crap like this until he leaves, so I wish he’d take a break and get the bad improv out of his system before coming back rejuvenated and looking less like a Rock of Ages extra. Or maybe just not come back at all! Whatever makes him happy!

I still bloody love Rusev and Summer, so that’s something to look forward to.

      Interest Level: 3/10
      Prediction: Rusev wins.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and TBD vs. The Wyatt Family

      Joey:

I don’t know what to expect because I don’t know who the mystery partner will be. I think the realistic options are Daniel Bryan, Erick Rowan or someone from NXT. If it’s Bryan, the match should amazing. If it’s Rowan, the match should be quite boring. If it’s someone from NXT, it will be hard to tell. For prediction sake, I’m riding with Baron Corbin because I like when Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose look worse compared to Seth Rollins.

      Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Baron “Vroom Vroom Vroom” Corbin win.

      Tim:

I’m not looking forward to the actual match at all but I’m always a sucker for the classic “mystery partner” routine. Daniel Bryan is the only possibility that would make me excited for the match. Erick Rowan makes the most sense but that won’t be exciting at all. It would be hilarious to me. Anyway, look for Roman Reigns to win.

      Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: RomanReigns, Dean Ambrose, and ??? ???? win.

      Tom:

THE MOTORCYCLE WOLF IS HERE AND HE’S READY TO TAKE THE WYATT FAMILY TO BIKERVILLE. People talk about Bryan being the mystery partner, and as much as I want to see him back, I can’t imagine anything worse – being teamed with two guys I’m very bored with in a dumb feud that wore out its welcome two PPVs ago is NOT something I want to see launch his return.

Contrarily, I REALLY don’t want the mystery partner to be Erick Rowan because Jesus Christ, life’s too short. The only logical choice is for it to be the Motorcycle Wolf, Baron Corbin, a great lad who likes to drink beer and do it with ladies who will surely get on fabulously with Dirty Dean and “The Powerhouse” Roman Reigns.

      Interest Level: 2/10
      Prediction: The Motorcycle Wolves win.

Ryback vs. Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship

      Joey:

After a 10 person tag match on Raw a couple of weeks ago, I was hoping for this match-up to take place sooner or later. Ryback and Kevin Owens seem to have an interesting chemistry together so hopefully it works out. I think Owens will eventually win this feud as the new Intercontinental champ but I also think it’s a long feud that will start off with either Ryback winning or there being a DQ/countout finish.

      Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: Ryback wins by DQ or countout.

      Tim:

I’m interested in seeing how these two work together one-on-one. I’m not a huge Ryback fan but this might be a good match in the end.

      Interest Level: 7/10
      Prediction: Kevin Owens wins.

      Tom:

What a combination. Honestly, I’m fairly fascinated to see how this plays out. Ragey aside, Owens has mostly been blessed to work with guys who are really pretty good and… well, not that Ryback’s awful, but he’s certainly more limited and he’s also one of the bigger guys Kev will have shared a ring with, which is a novelty! I think it’ll be pretty good, and certainly different to most of other Kev’s Fed matches. I agree that they have a weird kind of chemistry together that should make for a fun time.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: Kevin Owens wins.

The New Day vs. The Dudley Boys for the Tag Team Championship

      Joey:

I can’t stand Bubba Ray as a person but the Dudleys being back together on WWE should help make the tag team division more credible. The match should be good and hopefully WWE isn’t going to sacrifice their best tag team act in years to get the moment of old fan favorites getting the belts.

      Interest Level: 7/10
      Prediction: The New Day wins.

      Tim:

I’m really worried about The New Day losing here but I have a feeling that’s the road WWE will be traveling. I’m really not into The Dudleys being back but it’s cool to see The New Day wrestle such a legendary tag team.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: The Dudley Boys win.

      Tom:

I don’t want The Dudley Boyz around, man (and YES, I spell their name with a ‘z’ because I have respect for their late ’90s / early 2000s heritage). Seriously though, it’s 2015 and I REALLY don’t want The Dudley Boyz around. However, The New Day are extremely fantastic and maybe that’ll be enough.

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: The New Day win.

Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte for the Divas Championship

      Joey:

The match on Monday killed any desire I had to watch this. The “big match feel” attributed to both competitors having something huge to gain with the title vs. record on the line is gone. WWE hedged their bets by having Nikki get the record while likely setting up a Charlotte title win a few days later to get both moments thus making each less special. Hopefully Nikki wins to prove me wrong but I don’t really care about either person after Raw.

      Interest Level: 1/10
      Prediction: Charlotte wins.

      Tim:

They through what little hype I had mustered up for this out the window Monday. I feel like Nikki isn’t all that great to begin with and Charlotte has been a DUD for a good bit now. Both women can be in watchable matches if they’re in the ring with the right opposition but it’s just whatever to me. What a revolution. This needs more Sasha.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Charlotte wins.

      Tom:

I remain onboard the “Fearless” Nikki train and I 100% believe that she WILL retain because Triple H has an incredible capacity for top class banter sometimes and I think he secretly loves making poor old Ric Flair cry.

      Interest Level: 4/10
      Prediction: Nikki Bella wins.

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena for the United States Championship

      Joey:

They’ll have a great match with John Cena definitely cleanly winning the title back. The United States Championship is better with him and there’s no way they’ll have Seth Rollins keep doing the dual champion thing very long. The announcement of Rollins vs. Cena for only the U.S. Title being confirmed for the WWE MSG special on the WWE Network in a few weeks tells me Cena is winning with Rollins using his rematch then.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: John Cena wins.

      Tim:

This will be great and hopefully the ending won’t overshadow how good these two are like last time. Cena should probably win the US title back here though. Bring back the open challenge!

      Interest Level: 9/10
      Prediction: John Cena wins.

      Tom:

SHUT UP ABOUT THE SUMMERSLAM ENDING TIM, IT WAS GREAT AND EVERYONE AGREES IT WAS GREAT. This should be excellent though, and I’ll be interested to see how much different it is to their last tussle. Bring on the return of the US Title Open Challenge!

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: John Cena wins.

Seth Rollins vs. Sting for the WWE World Championship

      Joey:

I’m very excited to see this as Sting’s likely best chance at a great WWE match. Seth Rollins is an incredible performer and he should be able to help aid the older veteran to a good match. I can honestly see this going either way. The story of Triple H losing faith in Seth Rollins would be a better way to go if Sting wins the title, not to mention it would boost his stock for a potential Wrestlemania match for Sting by giving him a one month run as champ. I just can’t see them making the decision of putting the title on Sting considering they don’t seem to value him as much as other legends. Rollins win in a match that ends with a clusterfuck finish.

      Interest Level: 9/10
      Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

      Tim:

This is such a weird match and I’m so excited to see how it turns out. I don’t know what they’re doing with Sting but I doubt they’ll put the belt on him. I will love the craziness of the idea of they make him champion.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

      Tom:

What a mess this’ll be, I can’t wait. Rollins is pretty much in his prime and hopefully that’ll be enough to force The Steveman into having about the best match he can manage. However, I’m especially excited for all the bullshit and silliness that might seep its way into this. Will the nWo Wolfpac make their sensational WWE debut?!? God, I hope so.

      Interest Level: 9/10
      Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

Will Sheamus cash in his MITB?

      Joey:

      No. Thank god.

      Tim:

      Please no.

      Tom:

      NO MATE.
