Cesaro, Neville and Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus, King Barrett and Rusev on the pre-show

Joey:

I’ll be honest and admit I tuned out when these six had their match together on Raw this week so at least it will be kinda new to me. I still can’t be too excited about it. They basically have rotating singles matches every week. I’m sure it will be fun on the pre-show. Glad to see Neville and Cesaro doing something.

Interest Level: 6/10
Prediction: Cesaro, Neville and the other guy win.

Tim:

I’m highly displeased with the product lately. It’s been hard to watch but I DO watch it because I’m a real fan. This is a match I’ve already seen and I’m good on not seeing it again. There are a million better things Cesaro, Neville, and Rusev could be doing.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Sheamus, King Barrett, and Rusev win.

Tom:

This is exactly the same match from Raw. Why is this here?

Interest Level: 4/10
Prediction: What’s going on?

Kevin Owens vs. Ryback for the Intercontinental Championship

Joey:

Kevin Owens is a guaranteed fun match on the PPV. Ryback has been losing me lately after I started to enjoy him. I’m looking forward to Owens winning this one and moving on to new challengers as he hopefully builds up the prestige of the Intercontinental title.

Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Kevin Owens wins.

Tim:

I enjoyed Ryback on Table For 3 and wish they would focus his character on how he acted on that show. It’s the only time I’ve even remotely liked him. I dig Kevin Owens and am ready for this Ryback feud to be “donezo” as the kids say.

Interest Level: 6/10
Prediction: Kevin Owens wins.

Tom:

Hopefully this is it for the saga of Kev and Ryback. I thought their last PPV match was fun, but I need bigger and better things for Kev (provided it’s not Ziggler). I’m not sure who the natural next challenger would be for him – part of me would be super into a Kane feud, as perverted as that sounds. I genuinely think it’d be a good time, especially if we see the return of Kev’s Kane mask.

Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: Kevin Owens wins.

The New Day vs. The Dudleys for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Joey:

I’m sick of the Dudz. New Day are magnificent and there aren’t many other credible teams to feud with until the Usos return but I really want this to end here. The Dudleyz are like an old band playing their hits every night. It’s fun when you see it once or twice as you relive the nostalgia but if you watch it every week, it grows very tiring. Please win and ride the unicorn to another feud, New Day.

Interest Level: 2/10
Prediction: The New Day win.

Tim:

There are so many good teams on the indies. I wish NXT would focus on making a good division to call up. It’s a shame that we have a great group like The New Day being involved with the boring Dudleys still. Make. This. Stop. Also, The New Day have caught on. Unfortunately that usually means WWE will force them too much and make them kind of lame. I could see hints of it for the first time on Monday night. Let’s just get some good challengers for them after this.

Interest Level: 1/10
Prediction: The New Day win.

Tom:

THE DUDLEYS AGAIN? The New Day are good enough to overcome how boring The Dudleys are but JESUS, they deserve better.

Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: The New Day win.

Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella for the WWE Divas Championship

Joey:

Paige tries to cost Charlotte the match but it backfires and the female Roman Reigns retains the title.

Interest Level: 4/10
Prediction: Charlotte wins.

Tim:

Charlotte gets a lot of shit. I think she’s just bland and occasionally clumsy. She’s definitely not close to being the best but she doesn’t deserve to be called “ugly,” “old looking,” and such because of it which I see happening a lot. No one deserves that. WWE shoving her down everyone’s throats doesn’t help her at all, especially when people know how good the ill-used Sasha Banks is. I’m not really looking forward to this one. I’m still not completely on the Nikki bandwagon and Charlotte is mediocre at best. Maybe Charlotte needs more time to grow or something but now just isn’t her time.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Charlotte wins.

Tom:

Charlotte is not very good but she does a cartwheel okay so I would like to see more of that, please. Fearless Nikki should still be champ.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Charlotte wins and doesn’t do enough cartwheels.

John Cena vs. TBD for the United States Championship

Joey:

This is a weird one to predict on many levels. Doing the mystery opponent challenge on PPV makes you think it would be a big surprise but this is the fourth biggest match on the show so it likely isn’t anyone too impressive. There’s also the rumor that Cena is taking a few months off so that would indicate he’s losing the belt here. I do believe the hot speculation that it’s Tyler Breeze is accurate. The debut gives him a big moment but due to his lack of a star power, it’s suited perfectly in the middle of the card. I DON’T believe Cena could lose to Breeze. Who reported the rumor that Cena is even leaving? If it’s the Observer, those motherfuckers get everything wrong these days. I think Cena beats Breeze in a competitive match. If Breeze defeats Cena, that just seems like a terrible decision and a slippery slope to really messing up some important things WWE has going.

OK Tyler Breeze debuted on Smackdown after I wrote this so it would be even dumber and more far-fetched if it’s him. ANYONE BUT DEAN AMBROSE PLEASE.

Interest Level: 10/10 (The mystery factor and 2015 Cena is always a win)
Prediction: John Cena defeats Rob Van Dam or Chris Jericho

Tim:

Big Kev-O is a prize fighter and after winning his match with Ryback he decides the only thing better than one prize is two prizes. Kevin Owens comes out and takes down Cena. Unifying the Intercontinental and the US Championships.

Okay, it’s probably a returning Daniel Bryan!!!! Hahaha. I love to joke. Okay, yeah. It’s Jericho.

Well… if John Cena really is taking some time off they should put the belt on someone else. Elevate someone and then when Cena returns he can beat them because that’s how things work. I really have no clue who that could be though. I’m just going to say Cena loses here and that I’m interested in the surprise.

Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: John Cena loses.

Tom:

THE MOTORCYCLE WOLF IS REVVING UP HIS BIKE AND HE IS READY TO INVADE HELL IN A CELL! No, not really, it’ll probably be Chris fucking Jericho again.

Interest Level: 9/10 because everybody loves a mystery.
Prediction: John Cena wins.

Seth Rollins vs. Kane for the WWE World Championship

Joey:

My love for Seth Rollins can’t match my apathetic feelings towards Kane. This is the third biggest match on the show and ratings are sinking so why not put someone new like Cesaro, Neville or even Ryback in the match? It would accomplish so much more and there’s literally nothing that could be lost. Would Neville being in place of Kane really cause the ratings and attendance to sink lower than it already is? No. What a waste.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

Tim:

Kane is a huge problem. It never turns out well. I can’t deal with it anymore. Seth Rollins has his work cut out for him. Kane, Big Show, Bray Wyatt, and Sheamus ruin everything they come in contact with.

Interest Level: 1/10
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

Tom:

Everybody has to have a world title feud with Kane once it gets chillier, that’s just how it is. Have fun, Seth!

Interest Level: 2/10
Prediction: Seth Rollins tries his best.

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt in a Hell In A Cell match

Joey:

The match will likely be good but I can’t care about this feud. I’m just glad Dean Ambrose and Braun Strawman won’t be involved.

Interest Level: 6/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

Tim:

Wyatt sucks the life out of everyone he wrestles and his bullshit gimmick always makes the build-up super boring. The Wyatt Family aren’t mysterious anymore. Braug Stobin or whatever is a chump. Reigns still isn’t THAT good so everyone chill out. I’m not in the mood for this one. There’s no way I will enjoy it.

Interest Level: 0/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

Tom:

FUCK man, I forgot this was on the card.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: WHAAAATEVER.

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar in a Hell In A Cell match

Joey:

This is so weird. I was rooting for Brock Lesnar to destroy Undertaker in Hell In A Cell back when I was 13 years. I’m literally doing the same as a 26 year old. On the surface, I am excited for the match based off the names and nostalgia. I think Taker/Brock in 2002 was the best HIAC match aside from Taker/Shawn Michaels. My prediction is that Seth Rollins costs Undertaker the match and sets up a Survivor Series main event of Rollins and Triple H vs. The Brothers of Destruction. Or Undertaker wins and faces Rollins for the title at Survivor Series. Either way, call Shia LaBeouf because I’m expecting “even-steven” booking in this match.

Interest Level: 9/10
Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins.

Tim:

Brock Lesnar needs a win here. The only reason I am capable of caring about this match at all is because Brock Lesnar is in it and maybe he’ll go all out on the old man. They would have to get fucking crazy in that cage to get me into it. None of this has been handled right. I forgot this match was even happening until last Monday. They’ve yet to have a good match this time around and adding a cage doesn’t help that. NO THANK YOU. NO THANKS.

Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins.

Tom:

I’m hoping for a LOT of bullshit, not because Undertaker is incapable of having a good match otherwise, but just because I like bullshit. Also, to clarify, I mean the good kind of bullshit, lightning being tossed around and magic powers, not the kind of bullshit that ended their Summerslam match. Hell in a Cell matches are pretty silly these days so they might as well go all the way, you know? Holograms and gateways to hell and everything else you can imagine.

Interest Level: 9/10
Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins.
