Cesaro and Tyson Kidd vs. The New Day for the Tag Team Championship on the pre-show

      Joey:

Call me a Pointer Sister because I’m So Excited. This match will be outstanding. Imagine the love for Cesaro and Kidd but even better the hatred for The New Day in Chicago! The place will be electric. I’m 100% on board with heel New Day. My hope is for a title change and the New Day Sucks era to take over the WWE Universe.

      Interest Level: 10/10
      Prediction: The New Day wins.

      Tim:

I’m tired of thinking these pre-show tag matches will be anything I’ll remember in a couple of months. They’re always solid and good for kicking off a show but there’s just a blandness to them. I don’t feel like there are any real stakes and I wish all of these good tag teams were in shown off in a better light.

Look, Cesaro and Kidd are an awesome pair. I like every guy in The New Day. They’ll go out and do what they do and for that moment it’ll be an enjoyful kickstart to this PPV. I should be looking forward to this match way more than I am. I want Kidd and Cesaro to retain. The New Day gimmick wasn’t good when they were faces and is still not very good with them having ‘tudes. All three guys deserve better.

      Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

      Tom:

I’m with T-Man here, the pre-show tags aren’t really doing it for me anymore. It’ll be FINE and all these guys only show up in the parts of Raw that I tend to skip (which is most of Raw, to be honest) so it’ll be fun to see them, but I can’t say I’m particularly excited. New Day’s deal is… I dunno, man. I just dunno.

      Interest Level: 4/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship (pending Bryan’s health)

Thoughts are if the match does take place.

      Joey:

If it happens, it will be fine. I just hope Daniel Bryan’s health is okay. Barrett is back into his usual place on the roster as “just a guy.”

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: Daniel Bryan wins.

      Tim:

If Daniel Bryan has this match I’ll be so excited just because he is getting to wrestle. It should be a really fun match. Barrett is good although he’s forever stuck in midcard hell. Here’s to hoping Bryan is okay or gets better down the road.

      Interest Level: 7/10
      Prediction: Bryan wins.

      Tom:

Bryan seems like a smart guy so hopefully he’ll only be competing if he’s actually ready to. I think he and Barrett could have a really good match together but nothing that I’m so desperate to see that I’d want him to risk any potential further injury.

      Interest Level: 7/10
      Prediction: Bryan wins.

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper in a Chicago Street Fight

      Joey:

The least important match storyline wise has the best stipulation added to its match? Okay! It should be good. We love CZW mates who wrestle in jeans and a vest.

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: Luke Harper wins.

      Tim:

This feud has been kind of boring and pointless so I have no real interest in it besides “hey I personally just like these dudes because they’re good” but these two should have a crazy brawl if this is done right. I like Harper and Ambrose a lot so I’m hoping they do this big. Both guys could use a lot more wins but I’m guessing Harper gets the short end of the stick here.

      Interest Level: 5/10
      Prediction: Dean Ambrose wins.

      Tom:

It feels like it’s been a while since there’s been a PPV street fight with two guys who might actually make it interesting, so I guess I’m pretty interested in this? What do they even do in street fights these days, is it just kendo sticks? Anyway. Hopefully they do some dumb stuff and it’s exciting and no-one gets too hurt.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: Luke Harper wins.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus in a Kiss Me Arse Match

      Joey:

Don’t get me wrong. It’s hilarious to see Dolph Ziggler get punished but I just can’t care. Current Sheamus just makes me change the channel.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Sheamus wins.

      Tim:

Nope. Not a part of this Sheamus hype train and definitely embarrassed to be watching a kiss my ass match. Fuck you, WWE. Still better than Ziggler’s stand-up.

      Interest Level: my ass/10
      Prediction: Sheamus wins.

      Tom:

So, here’s an inside peek at the Wrestling On Earth process – when Joey puts these posts together, he’ll put “CONTENT” in place of where we’re meant to write down our predictions and so on, and let me tell you, I left it as “CONTENT” for a good long while for this match.

Ziggler is a guy who I’m unable to look forward to, even though he’s pretty good. I like Sheamus and MUCH prefer him as a heel but I haven’t paid much attention to his rebranding. This match seems like a bad idea for everyone.

      Interest Level: 1/10
      Prediction: CONTENT

Nikki Bella vs. Naomi for the Divas Championship

      Joey:

Both gals are good. The match should be good. This is good. Good?

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: Nikki Bella wins.

      Tim:

I like Naomi a whole lot. She can go. This will be… solid.

      Interest Level: 4/10
      Prediction: Nikki Bella wins.

      Tom:

Wait, who’s the baddie here? What’s going on? It’s at least something new for a Divas PPV match so COOL, let’s do it.

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: Nikki Bella wins.

Roman Reigns vs. Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match

      Joey:

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

      Tim:

      I feel hated.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

      Tom:

God, this is going to go on forever. I’d much rather see Big Show just play some of his favourite moments of Kevin Owens abusing Alex Riley on the titantron and have a good old laugh with the crowd.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

John Cena vs. Rusev for the United States Championship in a Russian Chain Match

      Joey:

Is there anything lamer than a Chain Match? Both guys are good enough to make it work but this is sadly limiting. Cena has to win to keep the fabulous United States Challenge thing going.

      Interest Level: 7/10
      Prediction: John Cena wins.

      Tim:

I’m not into the chain match idea. The storyline hasn’t ever clicked with me and has only grown to be kind of just there in front of us for no real reason. I’m not sure what they’ll being to another match even with a chain. Rusev needs the win but the US title matches on Raw are way too fun.

      Interest Level: 4/10
      Prediction: John Cena wins.

      Tom:

The STATE of these stipulations, good lord. I bloody love Rusev but I feel like I’ve already seen this match. I can picture the ending now, can’t you? Can’t we all? What are we doing here?

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: John Cena wins.

Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Championship in a Steel Cage Match with Kane as the Gatekeeper and the RKO banned

      Joey:

Cage match in 2015? Well there’s my answer for what’s worse than a chain match! Also, let’s take away the most interesting thing about Randy Orton. And let’s add Kane. It’s like this match is being sabotaged. I have faith in my main man Seth Rollins to pull some magic off and deliver through the adversity.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

      Tim:

Rollins might need to do something wild to save this one. Kane. Cage match. Storyline I’m way tired of. Orton. Not a good equation. I’m highly interested in seeing if this one exceeds my expectations though.

      Interest Level: 8/10
      Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.

      Tom:

Honestly, imagine how tired you’ll be by the time this rolls around. I like Seth Rollins as much as the next man and I’m interested to see how his first real PPV title defense shakes out but there’s such a lot of silly nonsense going on with this and FUCK CAGE MATCHES. Also, fuck Randy Orton matches. God, I’m going to be just exhausted.

      Interest Level: 5/10
      Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.
