Wrestling On Earth Fantasy Draft: Round Six

      Brad’s pick: SAMOA JOE

      Brad:

Samoa Joe is everything I personally would want to be in a pro wrestler. Has been all over the world, from America to England to Japan and back. He is a guy who if booked properly can be a unstoppable monster who the fans can get behind whether heel or babyface. He can work lucha, strong style, catch-can and is a hell of a brawler. He was involved in some of the most popular feuds that the purist wrestling fan was solidly behind. He is also half-responsible for being involved in the highest draw TNA PPV of all time.

The highest drawing wrestler of all time, Steve Austin, has said Joe is a guy he would love to see in WWE. He can cut one hell of an interview and has really solid delivery. Samoa Joe is a guy I would be confident in booking in a main event, with anyone in my roster on the biggest stage.

      Tom’s pick: BAD INFLUENCE

      Tom:

So, I’ve already got a solid foundation of tough, brawling main eventers on my roster with Cena, Brock, Steen and Cesaro, and with Bad Influence joining my previous pick of The Young Bucks, I’m trying to establish a really fun tag division. Bad Influence are tremendous. The way Christopher Daniels and Kazarian have essentially re-invented themselves in the past couple of years has been incredibly fun to watch, going from talented but somewhat bland personalities to a couple of snarky, appletini-sipping, scarf-wearing spectacular pricks. Even as TNA’s tag division has stagnated slightly, they’ve remained incredibly fun to watch and proved capable of having great matches with a wide variety of opponents.

Also, I think it’d be very fun talking comics with Christopher Daniels, which is another reason why Bad Influence is an essential pick for me.

      Tim’s pick: RICOCHET

      Tim:

If this was a draft dealing in only indie talent, Ricochet would have most likely been in my top three picks. This guy is incredible and should be signed to a bigger company right now. He just carries himself like a star. I needed this guy on my roster because his future is one of the brightest around.

      typicalROHfan’s pick: GAIL KIM

      typicalROHfan:

With the tag teams flying off the board, I feel like I need to hit a genre. It’s difficult to build a successful women’s division and I think drafting Gail Kim helps that. The mandated one female in twelve rounds is meant as who you’d build your division around with that or those persons you pick in this draft.

In my opinion, Gail is clearly the best current female wrestler and the best all time female wrestler. I’m sure I can build a decent division around Gail and any unsigned or unknown talents. One will have the gimmick of an ultra-heel named Brandy LeWard who chastises our “snark mark neckbeards” before Gail Kim makes the save. Instant diva/knockout/female wrestling feud success!
