    This Or That (10/10/2015)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeyOnEarth and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Worst opponent choice for a star wrestler’s match?

Big Show facing Brock Lesnar at MSG – 79%, Kane facing Seth Rollins at HIAC – 21%

Who would you rather see return to WWE for one more Wrestlemania match?

    Kurt Angle – 84%, Jeff Hardy – 16%

Which NXT champion will lose their title first?

    Bayley – 58%, Finn Balor – 42%

Which FOX sitcom are you looking forward to the return of?

Brooklyn Nine Nine – 56%, Last Man On Earth – 44%

Who would you rather see Undertaker wrestle at Wrestlemania 32: John Cena or Sting?

    ‘Taker in Texas.

    Screen Shot 2015-10-10 at 21.13.56

    Tim:

I’m going to give you some inside baseball real fast. Joey is underneath me with his answer. He put his answer in before I did. I want to reference something he said as I had planned on saying the same thing so here’s what we are going to do. You’re going to go read his answer. When you are done you can scroll up a little bit or move your eyes up a little bit and read mine. Once this happens you will go “oh, I know what he’s talking about because I read Joey’s beforehand.” Go do that now. This is super necessary and important. It will not be a waste of time.

Are you back? Okay, cool. Let’s do this.

There’s a lot of things at play in this one for me. I’d love to see Sting get a proper retirement match at a WrestleMania if he and WWE think he could wrestle again. Like Joey said in his answer to this question, my dream match was always Sting vs Shawn Michaels growing up. I always saw the Sting vs Undertaker dream match as people going “these two characters are dark they should fight.” I’m not sure I ever even thought about that match as a kid. There was nothing there to ever make me interested in that. Sting and HBK’s styles would’ve been interesting to watch in a match.

NOW though… well, there’s nothing really interesting for Sting to do besides a spectacle-laden build-up and showdown with The Undertaker. It would have to be a retirement match at this point in his career but they wouldn’t do a double-retirement as it would take away from the impact of The Undertaker retiring (which I’m almost positive is happening… PLEASE?). If we get Cena vs Undertaker we could possibly get one final Undertaker match that is watchable. I guess that’s the answer but I’m so tired of Cena’s character that I can’t stand him and his matches. Even if they’re good he is insufferable but whatever. NO. Fuck this. Give me Sting vs Undertaker and don’t make me see either guy ever again afterwards.

Here’s my pitch. You reintroduce Brad Maddox. Sting doesn’t know if he should ever wrestle again. Brad Maddox had a vision while in that cave that he should be Sting’s protégé. He talks Sting into wrestling again and calling out The Undertaker because he saw that moment in the vision. Sting finds his smile and thanks Maddox for helping him get back into the game. Sting takes Maddox under his wing during the build up to the match.

Meanwhile, you do what seems to be a one-off comedy skit with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose backstage. The Undertaker had just returned to accept Sting’s challenge. Ambrose is daring people to pick up the urn that is just chilling backstage and no one will. Of course, Reigns does because HE’S NOT SCARED. When he picks it up to laugh at everyone for being PANSIES he immediately vomits everywhere which causes him to drop the urn. Over the next few weeks Roman starts getting really strange. He still feels sick all of the time. He only craves raw meat and buys his first motorcycle. Lights flicker whenever he walks in a room sometimes and it’s really starting to freak him out.

The big match happens. Towards the end Sting and Undertaker are both out. The ref gets to the nine count. LIGHTS GO OUT. You hear screams. Lights flash back on. A baseball bat and the urn are sitting in the spots where Sting and The Undertaker were laying. LIGHTS GO OUT AGAIN. LIGHTING HITS THE RAMP. Lights back on! By the urn stands The New Undertaker Roman Reigns. By the bat stands The New Sting, Brad Maddox. The match continues. Whoever wins it doesn’t matter because of the 5 star classic they put on. The crowd is yelling and losing their shit. Grown men are ripping off their shirts and throwing money at the ring. Kids are being born. The Pope releases a statement the next day about the greatest match that ever was. WrestleMania 32 makes history.

    Sting

    Joey:

I’ve never been one of the people super into seeing Undertaker vs. Sting as a dream match. My personal Sting WWE dream match was always vs. Shawn Michaels. Sting/Taker would be cool but more so if it were Sting’s first WWE appearance. I’d rather see Undertaker face John Cena at a Wrestlemania because I desperately want to see it happen once before ‘Taker retires. Cena also gives a significantly better chance at Undertaker having a great match in what I personally think will be his retirement bout.

    John Cena

    Tom:

The Brock Summerslam match was somewhat of a return to form for ‘Taker, but I still think they’ve kind of missed the boat as far as doing something really special between him and John Cena.

Cena’s been on an absolute tear this year, having innovative, fast-paced matches with a great bunch of younger lads, so for him to slow it down to have an Undertaker match would be kind of a bummer. Let Sting have his ‘Taker match, for fuck’s sake. Spend all the time on the intros and then use spectacular special effects to make it look like they’re firing lightning bolts and crows at one another.

Neville and Lucha Dragons vs. Stardust and The Ascension on the Kick-Off show

    Joey:

I’m very happy about this match. Fun little match to the pre-show that continues a story and gets new people involved. Nice way to start the show. I’m not sure we appreciate Neville enough.

    Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Neville and Lucha Dragons win.

    Tim:

The Lucha Dragons and Neville are a pretty cool trio. The Ascension being paired with Stardust is probably as good as it gets for any of these gimmicks. This will be a good pre-show match as Kalisto, Neville, and sometimes Starfust are fun so watch.

    Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Neville and Lucha Dragons win.

    Tom:

I really don’t like Stardust! At all! I get what he’s doing and I’m all for variety but his character as it is right now just makes me sad to like a) wrestling and b) comics.  Same goes for The Ascension, so I guess it makes sense to have them together, but they’ll need some serious tweaking before I get into them as a team.

Neville and Kalisto are still very fun to watch but I want them to move on from what they’re stuck in right now. Have them wrestle each other! That’d work! Sin Cara can go back to NXT and team with Zack Ryder, that seems like it’d make sense.

    Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Neville and the Lucha Dragons win.

    This Or That (9/11/2015)

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Did you like the finish to John Cena vs. Seth Rollins at Summerslam?

    Yes – 53%, No – 47%

    Better wrestler?

    Sasha Banks – 76%, Finn Balor – 24%

    Worse booking by WWE?

The Divas Revolution – 81%, Roman Reigns road to Wrestlemania – 19%

Which would you rather have as a pet?

    Lizard – 52%, Alligator – 48%

Which Seth Rollins NoC match are you looking forward to more: Sting or John Cena?

    Night of Rollins.

    cena-sting-rollins

    Tim:

I am really interested in what a Sting vs Rollins match in 2015 will be like but I have to say Cena vs Rollins is what I’m looking forward to the most. Their Summerslam match was great until that ending so hopefully this one can live up to that match and have a good ending.

    John Cena

    Joey:

I know the luster of Sting will be cool but the last John Cena vs. Seth Rollins match at Summerslam is one of my favorite live matches ever and left me wanting one more match. I’m expecting this to be the match that ends the feud with Cena winning the title back as the United States Championship is best suited with him.

Considering he’s winning and it’s the conclusion of the feud, they will likely go all out again with a satisfying finish this time so I’m looking forward to it more. I do have faith in Rollins getting the best out of Sting but I think it could easily be a hot mess. I also think Sting is winning the title for a short one month (or maybe one night) run as a way for WWE to get extra attention and build his value back up before WM btw.

    John Cena

    Tom:

I thought the Rollins/Cena match at Summerslam was absolutely terrific (yes, including the ending and THANK YOU FOR VINDICATING MY CORRECT OPINION, LOYAL READERS) but I’m still a little shocked that my brothers are picking their rematch over Rollins/Sting. Yes, the Cena match is pretty much guaranteed to be better in terms of actual wrestling, but the Sting match could have all sorts of bullshit (including the ongoing saga of Seth’s statue) and I’m fascinated to see how Rollins wrestles with a guy like The Steveman.

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

More likely to win his title shot at Elimination Chamber? (We thought the United States title was on the line. Sorry!)

    Kevin Owens – 68%, Dean Ambrose – 32%

Who will make you cringe more on Tough Enough?

    Chris Jericho – 54%, Hulk Hogan – 46%

    Better wrestler?

    Sheamus – 68%, Wade Barrett – 32%

If forced to watch one, which would you choose?

    Ted 2 – 53%, Entourage The Movie – 47%

Which is more likely at Wrestlemania 32: Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar or Undertaker vs. Sting?

    Dream matches.

    matchz

    Tim:

There was a lot of convincing stuff going on with the Austin/Lesnar thing. Austin looked like he was in good shape and he went really hard into character. They switched to kayfabe (yeah, I said it) so well. Then there were actual WWE roster members tweeting about wanting that match which seems suspicious to me. I don’t know if they’d tease something that big if there wasn’t at least a good chance that it would happen. It seemed like Austin was definitely prepared for that interaction. I would love to see this even though there are a good five to six wrestlers I’d rather see these two guys wrestle instead.

Sting’s first and maybe final match in WWE was pretty sad in retrospect despite the ridiculous, nonsensical, in-the-moment nostalgia-riddled mayhem it brought us. I know he’s said he would come back for an Undertaker match. Neither of them can go like they once could. It would probably be a bad match unless you fill it full of theatrics and, well… WWE would actually have to figure out how to portray the Sting character. It would probably be Undertaker’s retirement match. They’d almost for sure put him over Sting even though it would most likely be Sting’s retirement match too. No way they’d focus on a double-retirement with an ex-WCW guy like Sting properly. I really don’t think this will happen even though I think the build-up COULD and SHOULD be really neat. I wouldn’t mind it.

Match ends. Lights go out and come back on and the urn and a baseball bat sit in the ring. Crows are flying haphazardly around the audience. The monks come down and sing a song a capella (Rolling In The Deep?) while Fred Durst (with Lex Luger in a side cart) ride a motorcycle around ringside waving the American flag.

    Steve Austin vs Brock Lesnar

    Joey:

There’s no way Steve Austin would have went as deep into character mode as he did during his podcast interview with Paul Heyman if there wasn’t some thought being given to returning at Wrestlemania. I think that means there’s a chance of it happening at least. On the other side, I think Wrestlemania 32 will be Undertaker’s last match ever and I can’t see any situation where Sting is his final opponent.

    Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar

    Tom:

Austin definitely looked in better shape on his most recent Network podcast with Heyman, and more in “Stone Cold mode”, as opposed to “boisterous dad mode”. The promo he cut on old Paul E. at the end was fairly sensational stuff, so even though I really can’t imagine the match being much of anything, I think the build-up to it would be great fun and worth watching. However, Austin also seems like a guy that’s very conscious of his limitations and wellbeing, which makes it hard to imagine he’d be willing to risk both his legacy and his health with a match with Brock.

Undertaker / Sting seems… I mean, if Sting’s going to do another WWE match, that’d be the one. Yeah, Sting might not be able to give ‘Taker a great final match, but I don’t think anyone could at this stage. At the very least, The Steveman could guarantee Undertaker something safe and easy, as he proved with that surprisingly fun bout he had with Hogan a few years back. Let the two old man have their 10 minute entrances and posturing and then send them off home to count their money before someone breaks a hip, for fuck’s sake.

    Undertaker vs. Sting

Which is more likely at Wrestlemania 32?

    • Undertaker vs. Sting (55%, 29 Votes)
    • Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar (45%, 24 Votes)

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd vs. The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Los Matadores for the WWE Tag Team Championship on the pre-show

    Joey:

Cesaro and utility player wrestler with manager vs. The Usos vs. Los Matadores returning to PPV after being non-existent for months vs. a team you won’t remember in a year from now on the pre-show for the tag team titles. Shades of last year. Except less hope for Cesaro. The match should be fine if the Usos are healthy.

    Interest Level: 6/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

    Tim:

Oh damn. It’s time for The T Man to dish out some very self-indulgent hot takes! This should be a good match but it will feel hollow as most WWE tag team matches do. The typical stuff. It’ll be solid. It’ll have some spots we’ve seen a million times before. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd would be a great tag team if being a tag team meant anything in WWE besides “filler.” The Usos are fantastic but we’ve seen them wrestle every combination of these teams so many times. Los Matadores have a horrible gimmick and haven’t really done much lately. I feel awful for The New Day. This is the most pre-show pre-show match you could imagine for Wrestlemania. I think Cesaro and Kidd win here. I’m sure they’ll eventually bring prestige to these belts once and for all if they hold them long enough!

    Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

    Deathlock:

This will be fun and get us jazzed for the show. It’ll be fine!

Interest Level: 6/10 Strong Style Interest Points™
Prediction: CATS, FACTS, AND MINORU SUZUKI COSPLAY FOR THE WIN.

    Tom:

It’ll be good, y’know? Y’KNOW? Yeah, you know.

    Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the pre-show

    Joey:

Does anyone in the world care about this? Noteworthy predictions: Curtis Axel will be eliminated first. Big Show and Kane will double eliminate each other. Sandow will eliminate Miz. Sheamus returns and wins.

    Interest Level: 2/10
    Prediction: Sheamus wins.

    Tim:

A ring full of dorks, Sandow, and an NXT guy. GOOD STUFF. Showcase of The Immortals and all of that jazz, ya know? Best case scenario, it ends up with just Sandow and Miz left in the ring leading to Sandow throwing Miz out. Most probable scenario, Sheamus returns and wins.

    Interest Level: 3/10
    Prediction: Sheamus wins.

    Deathlock:

Hi, I dunno who’s in this match at all. Is this the part where I tell you that If I ran the WWE, Damien Sandow would be on a record-breaking title run right now?

    Interest Level: 5/10
    Prediction: Damien Sandow?

    Tom:

If they have Sheamus return to win a pre-show battle royal then el oh fucking el, welcome to the Reality Era, fella. I look forward to seeing how the enormous trophy is destroyed.

    Interest Level: 6/10
    Prediction: Mizdow wins.

AJ Lee and Paige vs. The Bella Twins

    Joey:

The four noteworthy divas in the company will have a chance this year. This is probably the best divas match option they could have went with to be honest. I think it will be one of the better matches on the show – not sure if that says more about this match or the full card.

    Interest Level: 6/10
    Prediction: AJ and Paige wins.

    Tim:

I still believe AJ is the best female wrestler in WWE. Paige is wonderful but I still don’t think she’s close to hitting her stride on the main roster and that’s not entirely her fault. Nikki Bella has grown a lot as a personality and a wrestler but I still don’t think she is that wonderful. Brie Bella is Brie Bella. I’ve seen potential in her a lot here and there but it’s a one step forward, two steps back kind of thing with her. Popularity-wise this is definitely the four WWE should showcase at the biggest show of the year. Will it be the best divas match WWE could put on? No way. There’s definitely a chance these four could do something entertaining though.

    Interest Level: 5/10
    Prediction: AJ and Paige win.

    Deathlock:

Thirty seconds, probably humiliating. It might even just get cut from the show so Triple H’s entrance can go longer.

Interest Level: -10/10 regular points, 10/10 Strong Style Interest Points™ for Nikki Bella’s elbow.
    Prediction: We all lose.

    Tom:

“Fearless” Nicole Bella is here to show all you candyasses that girls are doing it for themselves! Holla at your girl! I don’t know, I’m sick of seeing all of these girls compete in various different combinations. It’s all we’ve seen in PPV Divas matches for the last year and I want some variety.

    Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: April Jeanette “Ape” Lee-Mendez-Punker-Brooks and Paige win.

Around The Wrestling World In 7 Days: March 22nd, 2015

Every weekend, Joey will give a glimpse of the things that have entered his mind.

Hi. I have a lot of thoughts about wrestling. I decided to start a concept where I talk about what’s on my mind every weekend. I hope it’s enjoyable.

Follow me on Twitter and let me know if you want me to hit on any wrestling topics next week: @JoeySplashwater

    WWE Universe

    stinger

    Stinger

I did not watch RAW this week. The only thing I looked for after the show was Sting’s appearance helping Randy Orton take down The Authority. This was by far the best Sting has looked in a WWE setting so far. His past appearances have made me care significantly less about his debut match at Wrestlemania but this added more optimism.

    Ultimate Ladder Spotfest

A myriad of great in ring performers having a ladder match full of dazzling spots will always be fun but I can’t get myself interested in this the way others are. It reminds me of when TNA would randomly book all the X Division talent they don’t care about in an 8 man Ultimate X spotfest. Sure, it’s fun but it means absolutely nothing no matter how many times you try to tell yourself it will make a division/belt more credible.

    NXT

This week’s NXT episode was one of my favorite TV episodes they’ve done. I absolutely loved the opening match between Tyler Breeze and Kalisto. It was only about 7 minutes and nothing too special occurred but it was straight up fun wrestling.

The setting of a new crowd in Cleveland was a bonus as Full Sail is starting to remind me of the Impact Zone during the “Hoytmania” days.

Kevin Owens kicking Alex Riley in the face was a beautiful moment.

    Sexy Wrestler of The Week

Let’s make a splash and name The Sexy Wrestler of The Week.

It’s that time again. The votes have been counted and all of that. It’s been quite the week but I believe the voters nailed it with who they voted as the winner this week… AS THEY DO EVERY WEEK. Face paint is really cool, after all.

    SWOTWSting1

Steve “Sting” Borden is The Sexy Wrestler of The Week. He is finally getting his Wrestlemania moment this year so you all felt he should get his Sexy Wrestler of The Week moment this year as well. This may be a bigger deal than the Wrestlemania moment. Hell, we know it is.

Not many people know that Sting was leading a double life as real estate agent for most of his career. He kept it under wraps really well. Frank Trigg didn’t even know that “Real Estate Steve” and the Stinger were the same person. You can read that story in the latest Dirt Sheet History. Since we are the site known for having the most accurate and shocking scoops on the net, I am about to reveal something never seen before. I worked really hard and even paid a pretty penny to get my hands on this. I mean, that penny was beautiful. Here is the only known photo of The man called “Real Estate” Steve.

    Warning: This is SHOCKING.

    RealEstateSteve

Look at that man. How much did that suit cost him? Those sleek glasses that say “I’m a 90’s badass but also a classic. Please, buy this house.” I’m proud to say Sting is The Sexy Wrestler of The Week and a sharp real estate pro.

    This Or That (2/24/2015)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Will Bray Wyatt face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31?

    Yes – 80%, No – 20%

Which era of Shawn Michaels did you prefer more?

    2000’s – 68%, 90’s – 32%

    Better NXT women’s wrestler?

    Sasha Banks – 72%, Charlotte – 28%

    Better 80’s film?

    Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – 51%, Back to the Future – 49%

Who are you more interested to see at Wrestlemania: Sting or The Undertaker?

Who do you care about seeing more?

The Dead Man and The Old Man

    Tim:

I’m really not excited about either and I’m a life-long Sting fan. I was willing to look over his age and be excited for him to get his Wrestlemania moment and retire but WWE has done almost everything to suck the nostalgia out of seeing Sting. They give him horrible theme music and kind of act like they don’t really know how to present his character other than “silence, bat and face paint.” That being said, I really don’t give one shit about The Undertaker at this point. He lost his streak in a bad match to a part-time player just for the moment and now will wrestle someone who probably won’t even get a good match out of him. At least I have hope Triple H will do what he can to take Sting through a decent match.

    Sting

    Joey:

I’ve noticed something on social media. Long time wrestling fans who watched Sting in the 90’s seem to be underwhelmed at Sting’s highly anticipated WWE debut. Newer fans unfamiliar with him come off as more impressed. I’m more of the former. Sting just doesn’t feel special to me. Hulk Hogan appearing to sell breast cancer awareness t-shirts still feels like a bigger deal.

There’s more curiosity in Undertaker. Last year was rough for the old man (or one of the old men in this case) but I want to see at least see how he rebounds from it. This could either be a legendary performance or Michael Jordan coming back to play for the Washington Wizards types of bad.

    Undertaker

    Tom:

My expectations for Steve “The Stingman” Borden and Mr. Michelle McCool are rock bottom, which I’m sure will help. Undertaker looked absolutely dreadful in every way last year, and I doubt another year away is going to help matters much. WWE’s presentation of Sting is pretty uninspiring. It’s not completely awful, but there’s just little things they could be doing to try and maintain his mystique a little more that they’re not bothering with. His stupid old man hair and his dumb jackets and his stupid new theme… they’re all little things, but there’s enough of them to really kill my disinterest.

I think all odds are on the Stinger being thoroughly mediocre at ‘Mania, whereas, like Joey said, ‘Taker seems more likely to be something amazing or something absolutely dreadful. Can’t wait to find out! At least he’s in there with Bray Wyatt, who’s only ever had terrific feuds and PPV matches. OH WAIT.

    Undertaker

Who are you more interested to see at Wrestlemania?

    • Sting (67%, 33 Votes)
    • The Undertaker (33%, 16 Votes)

    WWE Fastlane Preview and Predictions

“Fastlane is one word, pal.” – Vince McMahon

Giving their thoughts and predictions on what to expect from the PPV are members of the site @JoeySplashwater, @TimWelcomed, @IndianDeathlock and @TomBlargh.

The Usos w/Naomi vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd w/Nattie for the WWE Tag Team Championship

    Joey:

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd are obviously excellent. The Usos are probably the most underrated wrestlers in WWE right now. Naomi and Nattie are doing good work adding to this feud. I love this. I understand there will probably be a 4 team tag title match at Wrestlemania to get more people on the card but I’d love for these to have a straight up rematch on Wrestlemania with 5-10 minutes to steal the show. This will likely be the match of the night.

    Interest Level: 9/10
    Prediction: The Usos win.

    Tim:

This is WWE Fastlane. It’s all about revving engines the engines of the WWE Universe and I definitely think this match-up between these speedsters will do just that! The Usos are like NASCAR cars (NASCARS? Is that the thing?) They are fun to watch and fast but definitely have some restrictor plates holding them back and keeping them the on same level as the others. Tyson Kid is like a fast car. He’s really good and entertaining. Cesaro is a classic muscle car that only gets better with time. I think I may have mixed up muscle cars and wine there but I’m sticking with it. This will be a fun match.

    Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

    Deathlock:

AWESOME. As much as it feels like “Oh, another Usos match” (the tag team problem in WWE is not the Usos’ fault) every time an Usos match happens, this one will be fun. That segment in the restaurant when Nattie and Naomi were trying to go on a double date was the best piece of non-ring programming on WWE television in a decade. “I thought you meant like Canadian doubles in tennis.” “You gotta tell me that Japan story.” “Fact. We don’t have some stupid catch phrase.” “Come on, nobody likes what the Usos do.”  BRAWL. Why does Jimmy call everyone Uce? What does that mean? Enlighten me, internet. If the match is half as good as this segment, it’s five stars.

    Interest Level: 8/10
    Prediction: TAKE IT, CESAROGUN.

    Tom:

First of all, the name of the show is “WWE Race Cars”, get it right! Also, is this on the preshow or the main show? I’ve not been paying attention at all, oh well.

Anyway, Cesaro and old Tyson Kidd are a good laugh, though The Usos… well, The Usos remain The Usos. That’s not a diss, I like them! It’s just tough to work up energy for their matches right now, though Naomi being added as their manager is p. good stuff. She seems like a lovely girl.

    Interest Level: 7/10
    Prediction: The Usos win.

    This Or That (11/26/2014)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Who would you rather see face Triple H at Wrestlemania 31: The Rock or Sting?

Who should play THE GAME at Wrestlemania 31?

    rock-sting

    Tim:

I don’t think either match-up would be anything to write home about. The Rock didn’t impress me with any of his return matches and his promos make me dislike him so much. I am all for Sting vs Triple H in this scenario. It’s something different and I’m curious as to the direction they will go. I think Sting deserves a Wrestlemania retirement match and if not Undertaker I can settle for Triple H who is on top of his game this year.

    Sting

    Joey:

I’d much rather get The Rock vs. Triple H for the build. The Rock tries really hard to bring the “reality era” to his feuds when he returns as seen in his promos vs. CM Punk and John Cena. It didn’t work out too well but likely would be more suited for someone like Triple H given their past rivalry. I’d enjoy getting a kick out of the two having one more match. Sting and Triple H have no history and I’m not sure I trust the current WWE team to make up for them that makes sense.

    The Rock

    Tom:

It’s really hard to know how to place Sting at Wrestlemania. A match with Triple H seems most likely, but even if I’m fantasy booking something completely different, I can’t think of too many options that are more appealing. Undertaker, I guess? Though mostly for the entrances. Something with almost any of the younger guys would feel REALLY weird and there aren’t too many older guys left for him to roll around with.

Even so though, him and Triple H seem like an odd fit whereas I think The Rock and Triple H could be a decently fun time. There’s a lot of history to play on and I think the two are both pretty bulletproof as far as their positions go, so they can throw as many mean barbs back and forth without it leaving any lasting damage. UNLEASH THE HEAVY SHOTS, SURE HOPE THEY DESERVE THEM.

    The Rock
