    This Or That (5/13/2015)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Will Roman Reigns win the WWE Championship in 2015?

    No – 58%, Yes – 42%

    Better tag team?

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd – 77%, The New Day – 23%

Where would you rather see Sami Zayn wrestle full time?

    Raw – 73%, NXT – 27%

    Better Netflix hit series?

    Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – 51%, Daredevil – 49%

More likely to wrestle a match at Wrestlemania 32: Hulk Hogan or Ronda Rousey?

    Shoot attraction stars, brother.

    rousey-hulk

    Tim:

I really don’t think Ronda Rousey will be allowed to wrestle. I can’t make much sense out of Dana White letting her do that. I think it would be awesome but we are way more likely to get Hulk Hogan’s farewell match or whatever the hell it is he’s been talking about for years now. If they do that he’ll have to be the hot tag in a tag match, right? He can’t go out and have a whole match by himself. Anyway, I see him back in the ring at Wrestlemania 32 way before I can see Rousey.

    Hulk Hogan

    Joey:

I just can’t see Dana White allowing his biggest attraction to risk injury and make so much money for WWE unless he gets a large cut out of this. I also don’t think Vince McMahon will pay Dana White to use Ronda Rousey. Maybe she’ll be in the corner of The Rock when he faces Triple H but I just don’t think the politics allows her to wrestle an actual match.

Hulk Hogan may get a weird tag match or some sort of a match that protects his limitations while giving him a leg drop and celebration in Dallas. Hogan just has to convince Vince McMahon one more time. The Ronda Rousey scenario faces more hurdles.

    Hulk Hogan

    Tom:

I have no idea how UFC contracts work but old Dana “As Real As It Gets” White seemed pretty set on young Ronda not getting into the graps properly. So, while her showing up for another segment could happen, I don’t imagine an actual match will.

As for the Hulkster, he’s in the greatest shape of his LIFE. Don’t believe it? Just ask him, brother! He’s ready to pose, deliver some half-speed punches and deliver one (1) powerslam to a wrestler no heavier than 220 pounds ***PLEASE NOTE, NO LEGS WILL BE DROPPED, THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE***.

    Hulk Hogan

More likely to wrestle a match at Wrestlemania 32?

    • Hulk Hogan (67%, 34 Votes)
    • Ronda Rousey (33%, 17 Votes)

    More valuable to Wrestlemania history?

    Shawn Michaels – 62%, Undertaker – 38%

    Better Wrestlemania event?

    Wrestlemania 17 – 67%, Wrestlemania 19 – 33%

    Worse Wrestlemania main event?

Randy Orton vs. Triple H – 60%, John Cena vs. The Miz – 40%

    Better Wrestlemania celebrity involvement?

    Mike Tyson – 57%, Floyd Mayweather – 43%

Will Seth Rollins still be WWE champion in September: Yes or No?

Will Rollins get past Summerslam as champ?

    sethrollinschamp

    Tim:

I think Rollins will lose the belt before or at Summerslam. I’m pretty sure they’re still going all in on Reigns and that is most likely not going to change, unfortunately. It seems like they are aiming for Lesnar vs Rollins first which would probably happen at Summerslam. I could also see Reigns taking it before Summerslam. There’s just a lot working against Rollins here but maybe he’ll get a good run out of it.

    No

    Joey:

After watching RAW, it seems like writing Brock Lesnar off of television means he will be gone until Summerslam. Why have him wrestle on Payback or MITB? The match the story told was that Brock will come back for Seth Rollins and get his rematch when he returns from suspension. This tells me Rollins vs. Lesnar is at Summerslam.

The question comes down to who I think wins that match and I do not think they will go back to Lesnar being a part time champion from Summerslam until Wrestlemania again in back to back years. I have Rollins going into at least September as champ.

    Yes

    Tom:

I don’t see it happening. Summerslam seems to have become a traditional reset point and, even though I think Rollins has been amazing, they seem to be painting him as the cowardly chickenshit champion and I don’t think they’ll have the patience to run with that for too long, especially since I get the feeling that old Vince Jr. is still aching to have the belt on Reigns sooner rather than later.

    No

Will Seth Rollins still be WWE champion in September?

    Sexy Wrestler of The Week

So, yeah. We are going to name The Sexy Wrestler of The Week again. You’re welcome.

It’s been a busy few days. Wrestlemania and counting votes can take a lot out of a person but here we are. The votes have been counted and Wrestlemania 31 has been watched. The winner this week is quite the wrestler and can ride in a tank like no one else. He doesn’t take any crap!

    SWOTWRusev

That’s right. Rusev is The Sexy Wrestler of The Week. You must have been really down when he lost his match over the weekend but to me this makes up for it. This award is way more prestigious and actually means something. Cena can not take this away from him in the name of America and I’m proud of that. Yeah, Rusev is always serious and angry in the ring but I can tell you he is a real fun-loving human outside of the ring. Take a look!

    RusevHappy

He’s just a guy who likes to smile and enjoy life. He’s Rusev and he just wants to have a chill time. He seems way less lame than this guy, at least.

    WWE Fastlane Preview and Predictions

“Fastlane is one word, pal.” – Vince McMahon

Giving their thoughts and predictions on what to expect from the PPV are members of the site @JoeySplashwater, @TimWelcomed, @IndianDeathlock and @TomBlargh.

The Usos w/Naomi vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd w/Nattie for the WWE Tag Team Championship

    Joey:

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd are obviously excellent. The Usos are probably the most underrated wrestlers in WWE right now. Naomi and Nattie are doing good work adding to this feud. I love this. I understand there will probably be a 4 team tag title match at Wrestlemania to get more people on the card but I’d love for these to have a straight up rematch on Wrestlemania with 5-10 minutes to steal the show. This will likely be the match of the night.

    Interest Level: 9/10
    Prediction: The Usos win.

    Tim:

This is WWE Fastlane. It’s all about revving engines the engines of the WWE Universe and I definitely think this match-up between these speedsters will do just that! The Usos are like NASCAR cars (NASCARS? Is that the thing?) They are fun to watch and fast but definitely have some restrictor plates holding them back and keeping them the on same level as the others. Tyson Kid is like a fast car. He’s really good and entertaining. Cesaro is a classic muscle car that only gets better with time. I think I may have mixed up muscle cars and wine there but I’m sticking with it. This will be a fun match.

    Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd win.

    Deathlock:

AWESOME. As much as it feels like “Oh, another Usos match” (the tag team problem in WWE is not the Usos’ fault) every time an Usos match happens, this one will be fun. That segment in the restaurant when Nattie and Naomi were trying to go on a double date was the best piece of non-ring programming on WWE television in a decade. “I thought you meant like Canadian doubles in tennis.” “You gotta tell me that Japan story.” “Fact. We don’t have some stupid catch phrase.” “Come on, nobody likes what the Usos do.”  BRAWL. Why does Jimmy call everyone Uce? What does that mean? Enlighten me, internet. If the match is half as good as this segment, it’s five stars.

    Interest Level: 8/10
    Prediction: TAKE IT, CESAROGUN.

    Tom:

First of all, the name of the show is “WWE Race Cars”, get it right! Also, is this on the preshow or the main show? I’ve not been paying attention at all, oh well.

Anyway, Cesaro and old Tyson Kidd are a good laugh, though The Usos… well, The Usos remain The Usos. That’s not a diss, I like them! It’s just tough to work up energy for their matches right now, though Naomi being added as their manager is p. good stuff. She seems like a lovely girl.

    Interest Level: 7/10
    Prediction: The Usos win.

    This Or That (10/14/2014)

You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Better Hell In A Cell match?

Mankind vs. Undertaker – 55%, Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker – 45%

Who is the MVP of the Hell In A Cell match?

    Mick Foley – 84%, Undertaker – 16%

Is there anything at all that interests you about TNA Bound For Glory?

    NO – 62%, YES – 38%

Who would you rather sit next to at a wrestling show?

Green Lantern Fan – 81%, CM Punk Kid – 19%

Which match would excite you more: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins Hell In A Cell or Sami Zayn vs. Adrian Neville Ladder Match?

Ambrose/Rollins inside The Cell is confirmed. Rumor has it Zayn/Neville is planned for a December NXT special. We’re speculating about the Ladder Match. Which would you be more into?

    ambrollins-nevillezayn

    Tim:

The Rollins/Ambrose feud has died down for me since John Cena got involved. Not just because he is involved but it cluttered the storyline. I will say that while Hell In A Cell matches have not meant anything to me in a long time, Ambrose versus Rollins is a feud that seems heated and personal enough to make Hell In A Cell feel appropriate for the battle and I fully believe these two have the creativity and the chemistry to make it something special. “Special” is not the proper descriptor for a lot of the Hell In A Cell matches in recent memory. With the WWE product being so awful lately this match is the one I’m looking forward to.

The Neville/Zayn feud has been well-written and those two wrestlers really bring it every time they step in the ring. When Zayn finally wins that belt it will be a real emotional moment. I feel like adding any gimmick to the final battle of this feud would take away from it for me, even if it is something that I know they could make awesome like a ladder match. I love ladder matches but I just wouldn’t feel it fit in the context of the feud. It wouldn’t hurt it too bad but I do feel like it would detract from the story that could be told in a regular one-on-one match between these two.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins Hell In A Cell

    Joey:

Both matches should be great and while it features guys known for their cool moves, this comes down to the story. I just have no emotional attachment to Dean Ambrose. I know he’s talented but when he finally gets his victory over Seth Rollins, it won’t provide anything special to me aside from match quality.

When Sami Zayn finally wins the NXT title, it will be a big moment to me and I don’t even care about NXT! Zayn reminds me of Daniel Bryan where I can’t help but love the guy and want to see him succeed. Plus let’s be honest. Ladder matches are almost always wonderful and Hell In A Cell matches are almost always disappointing.

    Zayn vs. Neville Ladder Match

    Tom:

Years of crappy Hell in a Cell matches with no real build and silly finishes have soured me on them, but Rollins and Ambrose were able to make a lumberjack match fun so I’m sure they’ll do something great in the Cell. However, I’m still finding it hard to get that excited for it because of how mixed their Raw segments have been, whereas just the idea of a Zayn/Neville match is immediately super appealing.

I’m starting to get over my apathy towards Adrian Neville because he really is incredible – I just find it easy to forget that for whatever reason. There aren’t enough words to say how great Sami Zayn is, and the story of a strained friendship between the two is simple and works. I’m really hoping this does come to fruition and neither Tyson Kidd or Tyler Breeze are chucked into the mix to muddy things.
