Survivor Series Elimination Match (Unknown participants)

Joey:

My assumption is for a match featuring The Usos, Ryback, Cesaro and Neville vs. New Day, Barrett and Sheamus or something like that. The New Day are basically guaranteed to be in it so it’s guaranteed a fun time. I like the elimination matches and most of the wrestlers available can deliver in the ring. I don’t know the participants but I’m expecting it as the Match of the Night.

Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: New Days Rocks! (but loses because the faces will win this match)

Tim:

I figure it’ll just be the most rocking mid-carders facing off in this match full of historical importance. You know the guys. People like Neville. People that are so good that WWE doesn’t know what to do with them. The true prodigies of our time. I know that it will be a blast no matter what. It’s a Survivor Series match. How could it not be mind-blowing?

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Jaw-dropping action and a raucous crowd

Tom:

Previewing a mystery match, what the fuck are we even doing here? Good lord. Survior Series matches are okay though, I guess? Except when they’re not. Hopefully it’s Team Main Event vs. Team Superstars so we get to see the fantastic Fandango settle some scores with Heath Slater and Adam Rose on a major PPV.

Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: Everyone has a lovely time.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze

Joey:

Aside from them looking and wrestling alike, I’m not entirely sure what’s going on here. The match should be solid but it isn’t something I’m terribly excited about. Tyler Breeze is talented but let’s stop acting like he was going to be an instant television main eventer. He lost every big match on NXT and didn’t have any singles match main events on the live specials. WWE is using him in a good role to start.

Hopefully Summer Rae throws Dolph Ziggler off the stage once and for all.

Interest Level: 4/10
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler wins.

Tim:

Perfection VS. Pretty

This has been a long time coming. There’s nothing quite as exciting as two men who are very similar battling it out. It’s a tale as old as time and WWE knows how cut out the bullshit. Both men are 6 ft. tall. Dolph Ziggler weighs 218 lbs. Tyler Breeze weighs 206 lbs. Dolph Ziggler has the slight weight advantage but for the most part this will be a battle of speed and wit. These two men have been put in the position to exceed expectations and you can be damn sure they will go out of their way to blow the roof off of the building.

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler wins due to weight advantage

Tom:

Tim’s up to something, that son of a bitch. I can just tell, God damn it. I like The Breezeman and his beautiful beau Summer a lot but fuuuuuuucccccck Ziggler for LIFE. Is he a bad wrestler? No, not really. Could I happily live my life without ever seeing one of his matches again? Absolutely.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Tyler Breeze wins.

Charlotte vs. Paige for the Divas Championship

Joey:

My anticipation for this match was quite low and it sunk even lower after Monday. It felt like a shock comment was used in utter desperation of adding something to a failing feud. Paige matches almost always disappoint and Charlotte has been a mess on the main roster. The Bellas are the heroes we don’t deserve and we’re paying for our sins.

Interest Level: 0/10
Prediction: Paige wins.

Tim:

The Norwich Knight VS. The Revolutionary

The most talked about match of the month is upon us and with it comes controversy and two of the most formidable women on the WWE roster today. As the true leader of the Diva’s Revolution and one of the most powerful WWE Diva’s Champions to date, Charlotte has had enough with Paige running her mouth… and quite frankly I can’t blame her! Expect this one to be a back and forth behemoth of a battle as the 5’10” Charlotte barely lumbers over 5’8” Paige. Will the razzle-dazzle chop and submission superiority that Charlotte brings trump the swift and edgy style that Paige near-flawlessly executes on a weekly basis? Only time will tell.

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Charlotte wins due to height advantage

Tom:

Hopefully they double down on the bad taste and we see Paige rolling around in Reid’s ashes before sucking the tears from old Ric’s cheeks.

Interest Level: 2/10
Prediction: Rest In Power, Reid Flair.

The Undertaker and Kane vs. Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman

Joey:

I have been getting bad vibes about this match. I hope I’m wrong but I feel it could approach Worst Match of the Year levels. The Undertaker seems to be on his retirement tour and a Survivor Series match was necessary but I wish it was in another situation. The Wyatt Family did become more credible after the attacks on Taker and Kane but it’s already slipping away. My expectations are for a disaster here. Bram Strawberry and The Cowardly Wyatt will likely take the loss.

Interest Level: 6/10
Prediction: Undertaker and Kane wins.

Tim:

Family Feud… IN HELL

For 25 years a dark and dominant shadow has been cast over WWE by The Phenom and on this night we will see if that shadow holds or if a new family of evil will take the reins from The Undertaker and his brother in destruction, Kane. Bray Wyatt and Brumple Statham pull no punches. They are as dastardly as it gets. Supernatural thrills, chemistry, and age will be the deciding factors here as the demon duo of The Wyatt Family weigh in at a miraculous 670 lbs. While The Wyatt’s have the weight advantage The Big Red Monster and Big Evil come out on top with a combined height of 13’10”. Bray Wyatt and Bronk Spellman have their work cut out for them but their youth may just outweigh the mayhem that Kane and The Undertaker’s experience will bring.

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: The Wyatt Family wins due to youth advantage

Tom:

I can’t BELIEVE we’re having to deal with Bray Wyatt and Undertaker having a feud again, it’s just astonishing that they’d go back to this stinky well. At least we have the sensational in-ring talents of Kane and Braun Strowman to help raise this up though!

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: The Undertaker and Kane win, I feel tired.

Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio

Joey:

Alberto Del Rio has been extremely disappointing since returning to WWE. All of his matches aside from the one with Neville have been lackluster and this storyline with Zeb Coulter is garbage. If Seth Rollins didn’t get injured, Del Rio was likely going to wrestle Jack fucking Swagger on this PPV. Roman Reigns matches have been much improved but it’s impossible to root for someone with a character that is more or less an asshole. This isn’t UFC, bud. The match quality can go either way here but the outcome is obvious.

Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

Tim:

The Lion VS. The Fox

One of the more straightforward matches on this stacked card. Just as an important fight between two of the hottest workers in WWE should be. With the muscular fortitude of the most powerful lion, “The Powerhouse” Roman Reigns will come in swinging at 6’3” and 265 lbs. With the guile of a wizened fox, the returning Alberto Del Rio will walk into this match at 6’5” and 239 lbs. This will be one hell of a watch for all, from the most hardcore fans to the lovely causal viewers. Roman Reigns has the upper hand here as he has the strength and muscles of no other and the millions of fans watching will most definitely be on his side.

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns due to muscle advantage

Tom:

Del Rio’s return has been kind of a bummer, hasn’t it? I thought he had patches of greatness in his first week or so back (mostly when he was kicking lads in the chest and or head), but it’s been downhill since. Roman Reigns has been realtively decent as of late but I still feel completely uninvested in him, so what a fabulous time this match should be. The Uninspired Force vs. The Uninspiring Object.

Interest Level: 4/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose

Joey:

I’m so over Dean Ambrose. I never liked him in Dragon Gabe but wanted to accept his talent in WWE. I enjoyed him during The Shield but he’s been pretty bad since the split. His recent work may be my least favorite in the entire wrestling industry. I can’t take the lame gimmick or his 1980’s wrestling style. Not to mention every time he does the Nigel lariat, I just want to throw up. My nightmare is current version Ambrose winning the WWE Championship. Kevin Owens is right behind New Day as the most entertaining act in WWE. This is another match that can go either way in quality but I’m expecting an Ambrose special sadly.

Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Dean Ambrose wins.

Tim:

Fight Lunatic Fight

This will be a match for the ages. The pompous and greedy Kevin Owens continues to prove that he is the smartest man in the game. The lovable mad man known as Dean Ambrose will come in blazing, throwing well-thought out attacks aside in favor of a flurry of unpredictable anarchy. Which will come out on top? The Prize Fighter’s evil wit or The Lunatic Fringe’s relatable fury?

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Dean Ambrose wins due to being a fan favorite.

Tom:

I consider myself the leader of the I’m Tired of Dean Ambrose movement, but I still have reasonably high hopes for this match. I think he and Kev have decent chemistry together, even if there’s something very forced about a lot of Ambrose’s actions that makes it hard for me to enjoy his matches.

From a storyline sense, I understand why old Dean is likely winning this one BUT! I’m still hoping that this’ll end with some kind of double DQ business and we get to see both lads advance to the finals. It’s a beautiful dream, yes, but I’ve been spoiled by double Kev on recent Raws and I’d really like that trend to continue.

Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Double DQ or some kind of nonsense.

WWE World Championship Match

Joey:

The finals will be Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose because the world hates me. Notice how Triple H approached every wrestler left in the tournament on Raw except for Ambrose. I don’t think they’ll go with Reigns winning the title here in a lesser storyline with a more predictable outcome than if he was facing Seth Rollins. I have Ambrose turning heel and winning the title. I think they’ll go with the surprise of an Ambrose swerve before getting the title to Reigns on the road to Wrestlemania.

Interest Level: 7/10
Prediction: Dean Ambrose wins the WWE Championship.

Tim:

Fight For The Gold or Friends ‘Til The End?

Here we are. The match that the entire world will be watching. We all have a best friend. We’ve all had arguments over small things like “which one of us will get to wear this nice little belt we bought together at JC Penney’s?” Take that and amplify it by a million. These two friends will enter the ring and fight for the only thing more important than beers and friendship. A big gold belt. A championship. One thing is for sure. Roman Reigns is the future. He has so many of those muscles. The fans love him more than anyone else. He carries himself like all of the greats before him. This will be his night.

Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins due to being perfect

Tom:

So, my unlikely prediction is Kev vs. Dean vs. Roman, okay? Okay. The big story is that Ambrose and Reigns are bloody great mates who like to drink beer and have sex with ladies, so the sensational drama of having one turn on the other would be very exciting for everyone. However, I think including Kev would add a nice wrinkle to things going forward – you could have him be bought off by The Authority to help Dean get the win over Roman, you could have him go absolutely mad after the match because they chose Dean over him, you could just have him do WHATEVER and it’d likely be a good time.

Is all this wishful thinking fantasy booking bullshit? Yes, it is, thank you for noticing! Look, I just need something to look forward to and an Ambrose / Reigns feud isn’t really it.

Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: Dean Ambrose wins the WWE World Heavyweight Title, well done Dean.
