Fandango vs. someone on the pre-show

Joey:

I like Johnny Curtis but the gimmick has no legs. Somehow Fandango has gone down in valet quality through the years and is at a new low with Rosa Mendes.

Tim:

Two of my least favorite wrestlers in a match. Fandango? Nah. Horrible character. Someone? Nah again. Have you seen their haircut? Total jobbers here. I’ll be skipping the pre-show getting myself pumped for the actual event. Who will survive this series? Probably not me.

Tom:

I fucking love Fandango, though mostly as a commentary presence. I still think back to him doing a Fonzie impression on a Raw a few months ago and it just being the most amazing thing. No idea what this is all about but I can confirm that it’s one of the few things I’m looking forward to.

Team Paige (Paige, Cameron, Layla and Summer Rae) vs. Team Fox (Alicia Fox, Emma, Naomi and Natalya)

Good grief. Maybe it will turn into Paige vs. Naomi.

Tim:

Paige has three good opponents on the other team in Naomi, Nattie, and Emma. It doesn’t matter though. This match will be quick and oh my god at the roll-ups.

Tom:

Alicia Fox is a goodie now? What’s going on? WHAT’S GOING ON?

Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose

Joey:

This has been such a lame build. I don’t think there’s a feud I care less about that’s taking place in wrestling right now.

Tim:

Bray’s role as The New Kane has worked really well. He nails all of the steps: Spew self-serious nonsense so that no one ever really knows what the feud is about, be boring, rely on theatrics, kill your popular opponent’s momentum. I’m ready for this to be over with but I do think this one will have a really huge ending when Sting walks out and lays Ambrose out with a bat and then points it at Bray Wyatt. I feel bad for Ambrose.

Tom:

Here’s me trying to remember what these two have been up to in recent weeks:

Bray was a hologram.
Bray threw Dean into a wall (probably?)
Dean recorded himself with his pal’s phone camera and tricked Bray (not sure how???)

CAN’T WAIT. But look, Dean Ambrose generally does some pretty good stuff regardless of silly bullshit build-ups so it might still be some solid goodness.

Goldust and Stardust vs. The Usos vs. The Miz and Damien Mizdow vs. Los Matadores for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Joey:

Good grief. Maybe it will turn into Sandow vs. El Torito.

Prediction: The Miz and Sandow win the tag titles.

Tim:

Every tag team is getting a shot. Sandow is the only one I’m into. Why even have a tag division if you’re not even going to try. At least this one will have a historic ending when The Icon Sting walks out and points his bat into the crowd where Lex Luger is sitting who then points his finger at the tag belts as they’re being raised by the winners of the match.

AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella for the Diva’s Championship

Joey:

Good grief. Maybe this will turn into CM Punk vs. John Cena.

Tim:

AJ Lee is great but I’m not into Nikki like a lot of people seem to be. I don’t think this’ll be that great until the inevitable happens and Sting walks out, lays Nikki Bella out with his bat, and then celebrates with AJ after the match by them both doing his “Ow!” taunt.

Tom:

GUESS WHAT, TROLLS, ‘FEARLESS’ NIKKI BELLA IS A FABULOUS TALENT.

Team Cena (John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Ryback and Erick Rowan) vs. Team Authority (Seth Rollins, Mark Henry, Rusev, Kane and Luke Harper)

Joey:

The only thing interesting about RAW these days are The Authority segments. Please don’t take away smarmy Triple H, condescending Stephanie, snot-nosed Rollins, purposeful Kane and the greatest stooges that ever lived.

Interest Level: 4/10
Prediction: Cena and the Broomsticks win

Tim:

I really like The Authority (minus Kane). I’m really tired of the storyline but I think everyone does well in their roles and are pretty entertaining. Cena’s team is something assembled by a true nightmare person. They should be put in jail.

I don’t care about this match too much because the stip is dumb and all of the entertaining wrestlers are on one team outside of Ziggler who is stuck with Cena and The Triplets. The ending will be exciting though as Sting comes out and lays his bat down in front of Cena to pick up as a symbolic way of passing the torch. The show closes with Sting pointing another bat that the pulled out of his jacket at the camera while Cena holds Sting’s first bat like he just pulled the sword out of the stone.

Interest Level: 3/10
Prediction: Cena loses for his team and gets them fired but of course he doesn’t lose clean.

Tom:

Man, what a weird line-up. I dunno! I’m kind of excited seeing John Cena’s Team of Idiots get taken out by my main man Rusev one after the other, leaving THE CHAMP to take down that disgusting Authority. Cena in the ring with Rusev and Luke Harper in a main event sounds PRETTY GOOD, you know? PRETTY. GOOD. I feel tired.
