      Mojo Rawley vs. Bull Dempsey

      Joey:

I don’t know these people. When I hear Mojo Rawley, I think ex TNA legend Cody Deaner. When I hear Bull Dempsey, I think ex ROH legend Bobby Dempsey. So I’m imagining this as Deaner vs. Bobby.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Bobby Dempsey wins.

      Tim:

Mojo Rawley’s gimmick is annoying and I feel like bros would love him. Bull Dempsey  goes by “The Last of A Dying Breed” because that’s imaginative. These two will not excite and will not turn any hands unless it’s in a repetitive back-and-forth motion.

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Bull Dempsey wins.

      Tom:

I’ve not seen much of either guy but both seem to be generally regarded as the worst guys on NXT TV. Can’t wait!

      Interest Level: 1/10
      Prediction: Bull Dempsey wins.

Enzo Amore vs. Sylvester Lefort in a Hair vs. Hair

      Joey:

WHAT’S WITH THESE NAMES?! ARE THESE REAL PEOPLE?

      Interest Level: 0/10
      Prediction: Brutus Beefcake wins.

      Tim:

LeFort doesn’t do anything for me but he seems like an okay wrestler from what we’ve been able to see of him in NXT. Enzo Amore’s schtick has grown old but he is solid. This one could easily be really boring or delightfully midcard-mediocre. I don’t care too much but I’m definitely looking forward to it more than Rawley vs Dempsey.

       Interest Level: 3/10
      Prediction: Sylvester LeFort wins.

      Tom:

I know Enzo Amore is the guy who does the ‘SAWFT’ thing and is apparently from Queens, which is where I’m currently residing, so I can confirm that he is officially MY GUY. Also, Sylvester Lefort was trained by Lance Storm, which makes him deeply suspicious as a potential hater of charity / Tom Cruise.

Anyway, I like hair matches! Or at least I like hair matches where the actual hair shaving is really drawn out and poorly planned (i.e. every hair match ever), so I’m onboard with this.

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: Enzo Amore wins.

The Ascension vs. Sin Cara and Kalisto for the NXT Tag Team Championship

      Joey:

Finally some people I know! The Ascension are not interesting to me at all. I like Sin Cara and Kalisto. Hopefully there’s not a title change because I’m not ready for The Ascension making waves in the WWE tag title picture.

      Interest Level: 4/10
      Prediction: The Ascension win.

      Tim:

The Ascension is pretty boring but with a little care, more defining what they are exactly, and more theatrics put behind them I could see them being more worthwhile. When the team was Konnor and Cameron it looked like Konnor was growing and would potentially be something but once Cameron left it seemed like he regressed. I think Viktor is actually not too shabby but need to see more.

I like the Kalisto/Sin Cara pairing! Kalisto is a talented individual and this incarnation of Sin Cara is not bad but the character seems tainted by its history. Maybe being an NXT tag champ with an up-and-comer like Kalisto could be a fresh restart for Sin Cara. I think Kalisto needs a little something to spice up his character but he’s pretty entertaining when he wrestles.

I’m not sure how I feel about this match-up. I’m mainly just excited to see Kalisto wrestle but also think maybe this match has some sort of potential? Either way, I’m definitely curious and am showing some form of anticipation for it.

      Interest Level: 5/10
Prediction: Kalisto and Sin Cara win.

      Tom:

Are The Ascension meant to be vampires? Or, like… I dunno, cult guys? They seem pretty dumb and boring from what I’ve seen of them. I’m excited to see Kalisto but that’s about it.

      Interest Level: 3/10
      Prediction: The Ascension win.

Charlotte vs. Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship

      Joey:

This has been a decent little program in the NXT episodes I’ve skimmed through. Both have interesting acts and I’m hopeful the match delivers. I really like Charlotte and her potential. I enjoy Bayley’s gimmick on NXT. Many feel Charlotte will be on the main roster soon so they’re expecting a title change here but I see Charlotte holding it a little longer.

      Interest Level: 7/10
      Prediction: Charlotte wins.

      Tim:

Charlotte has been pretty damn great lately and definitely has talent. I am a Bayley fan. She seems capable of good matches and her character (which would need work to get the mainstream audience behind it if she went to the main roster much like many NXT gimmicks) is acted out pretty good.

I like how this has been built up and am super excited for it. I’d like to see Bayley as NXT Women’s Champion and that seems to be what we are going to get with them readying to call Charlotte up.

      Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: Bayley wins. Hugs for everybody.

      Tom:

I think they’re both pretty decent and the storyline of Ric Flair’s kid vs. the lass who likes to give hugs seems simple and effective. I’m probably on Charlotte’s side though – I’m not against hugs, but sometimes you’re just not in the mood, you know? Fight for your right to be a little stand-offish!

      Interest Level: 6/10
      Prediction: Charlotte wins.

Adrian Neville vs. Sami Zayn vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Tyler Breeze for the NXT Championship

      Joey:

This match is going to be excellent. All four of these guys should mesh perfectly well together with the perk of four competitors to keep it fresh. Sami Zayn is one of my favorite things in wrestling right now. Adrian Neville is very good at what he does. Tyson Kidd and Tyler Breeze are talented guys. I’m expecting a great match here.

Everyone in this match has something to offer but I think Sami Zayn is on a completely different level from the other three so hoping he gets the W here. However, I think a heel would win if there is a title change and Tyler Breeze has more upside than Tyson Kidd.

      Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Tyler Breeze wins the NXT Championship.

      Tim:

Tyson Kidd is incredible but I don’t think he’s really shown off his full potential in NXT yet. This is the perfect time for him to bring it. Tyler Breeze has won me over and I am pretty sure he will be able to keep up in this stacked match. It goes without saying but Sami Zayn is on another level and Neville is exciting to watch in the ring.

I really want Zayn to FINALLY win the title here. He’s had so many chances and all of them ended in heartbreak. I can see any of these men winning but I think they’re going to put it on Tyson Kidd.

      Interest Level: 10/10
Prediction: Tyson Kidd wins the NXT Championship.

      Tom:

Despite Brad Ward assuring me that he’s doing the best work of his life right now, I’m completely unable to work up any enthusiasm for Tyson Kidd. To be honest, I’m typically not that interested in Neville or Breeze either, but nothing helps sway my interest in a match more than young Samuel Zayn. Even though he’s wrestled all these guys before, I’m still expecting him to do stuff that’ll feel completely new and surprising and great.

Having said that, four ways are up there with lumberjack matches as my absolute least favourite. There at least seems to be a reason for them all to be in this match, but I’d still rather it be two singles matches or a tornado tag between Zayn/Neville and Breeze/Kidd. YEAH, I SHOULD BE BOOKING THIS.

      Interest Level: 8/10
Prediction: Sami Zayn wins the NXT Championship (DREAM TO BELIEVE, BROTHERS).
