Satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern made fun of Kurt Angle on his show this morning, characterizing the TNA World Heavyweight champion as a desperate stalker. Stern talked about Angle’s recent arrest for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend and played a clip of a recent Kurt Angle interview where he was crying and claimed he was set up. Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers called Angle crazy because when Angle was a guest on the Stern show earlier this year, he was texting Quivers nonstop to go on a date with him.

TNA President Dixie Carter‘s first appearance on Impact bombed in the ratings losing many viewers.

      9/5/2009

AJ Styles talked about others using his moves and feels “there’s not a lot of moves in the world,” so he understands fellow wrestlers using one of his own.

“It’s hard to be different. But it’s cool with me,” Styles said. “Now it would be different if it was a guy in my own company.”

Styles follows the last quote by criticizing John Morrison, feeling he copies “everyone else’s move and hasn’t come up with one.” However, Styles feels the WWE wrestler performs them well, so he has no real problem with him.

“But there is that one dude. What’s his name? I’m like, good grief, this guy does everyone else’s move and hasn’t come up with one,” Styles said. “He’s a heck of an athlete. Morrison. Yeah, I’ve seen him do a lot of Low Ki‘s moves. He does my Spiral Tap. I was like, ‘Man, this guy watches a lot of tape.’ But he does them well, so I can’t say anything bad about him. He does them well. He’s heck of an athlete.”

TNA president Dixie Carter recently issued a mandate to strictly hire ‘beautiful women’. It was noted that while she is solely interested in hiring ‘beautiful women’, she wants women who can actually wrestle.

As reported earlier, former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall is expected to join the promotion in the near future. TNA officials also have their sights set on another former Diva, that being Candice Michelle.

Rumors have surfaced online saying World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is dating former WWE Diva Amy “Lita” Dumas. To put the speculation to rest, the multi-time Women’s Champion is indeed dating Punk, The Sun can confirm.

Sources close to the pair told the UK newspaper they are seeing each other and have been for almost a year.

“It’s not an issue with the WWE bosses,” one source said. “It has been kept very personal and both Matt Hardy and Edge know about it, because Punk was man enough to tell both to their faces.”

Former WCW and WWE star Bill Goldberg responded to a fan question about whether he’d be working the Hulkamania Australia tour on Twitter, stating, “Zero plans to join Hogan’s Tour…..The old man wants all the $ for himself. Plus, 3 reality shows on tap.”

Jim Cornette‘s contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling was terminated after throwing one temper tantrum too many. Reportedly, he caused a major scene at the most recent Impact television taping during an argument with head writer Vince Russo.

Cornette directed his anger toward the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion during a production meeting calling for more focus on Eric Young on television.

“Everyone was in a production meeting with Russo running down the show, but Cornette went nuts screaming ‘why are we pushing Eric Young?’,” according to The Sun’s source. “Russo reacted calmly and said it wasn’t a big deal, but Cornette wouldn’t let it go and kept screaming about it, really causing a scene. He just wouldn’t stop. Even after the meeting broke, Cornette was walking around complaining to everyone who would listen.”

A few concerned co-workers went to management to voice their displeasure over their belief that Cornette had been acting unprofessionally. Apparently, this was “his latest refusal to be a pro,” so the organization decided to release him from his contract.

Similarly, Cornette was released by World Wrestling Entertainment in July 2005 after slapping current WWE star Santino Marella for breaking character and laughing at The Boogeyman during a live Ohio Valley Wrestling show.

“This wasn’t politics or anything to do with Jeff. It was purely a decision prompted by the same behaviour that got Jim fired in WWE,” the source said.

Regarding John Morrison, he is well liked among his peers in the locker room and many feel it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a top star. For the record, he is still dating Melina, who is not quite so popular in the locker room. While many feel she has improved her reputation from where it was during her previous stint on the SmackDown brand, multiple wrestlers still accuse her of being phony.

Word is that if he accepts the offer, Kanye would have to do some “light wrestling.” According to MediaTakeOut, Kanye is “seriously considering” the offer.

      9/18/2009

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross addressed the following in his blog this afternoon:

“I even saw on the ‘net that it was alleged that WWE had offered Kanye West “$10M” to step in the ring and wrestle which is so outlandish and ridiculous that it’s insane.”

Amazon.com has released the back cover “reviews” of the book, which include made-up quotes from DX complementing their own book. One of the made-up quotes pokes fun at Bret Hart.

Booker T‘s reputation among those in the TNA locker room isn’t particularly good at the moment. The Main Event Mafia member is widely regarded as the most selfish wrestler in the TNA locker room — a sharp contrast from his wife Sharmell. Many are observing closely to see if TNA president Dixie Carter follows through on what she’s been saying about cutting ties with individuals who don’t support the company’s newfound youth movement.

In a recent interview with WWE Magazine, Vince McMahon gave his thoughts on what defines today’s WWE Superstars. Using the massive Warlord as an example, McMahon says bigger is not necessarily better in today’s WWE. Here’s an excerpt:

Question: What defines today’s top Superstars?

Vince McMahon: It’s everything that people don’t see. It’s easy to say from a visual standpoint that bigger is better in reference to past eras of WWE. But take The Warlord, for example. He was enormous — one of the most visually impressive Superstars we’ve had — but he couldn’t sell five tickets. He had no charisma, no “gift of gab,” which is what really sets apart today’s Superstars, even if they may not be as physically intimidating. Someone like CM Punk, even though he’s a good-looking guy, isn’t built like that. He probably weighs less than I do. But today’s fans are drawn to his confidence and charisma. Those are the things a Superstar exudes, and they translate though the television set.

      9/30/2009

John Cena was asked whether there’s any backstage buzz regarding the signings of Ring of Honor wrestlers Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness. “Certainly, if the locker room remembers that Velocity match [between Cena and Danielson] a long time ago, they’re much more of the historian category than I am,” Cena said. “We’re always happy to get any sort of talent. I think Bryan will be a wonderful acquisition for the program, as well as any of our developmental superstars.”
