    Sexy Wrestler of The Week

Let’s howl at the moon or whatever and name The Sexy Wrestler of The Week!

The votes have been counted! Who did you vote for? Did they win? WELL, LET’S FIND OUT.

Are you sure you’re ready to know?

    OKAY THEN.

    SWOTWRichards

The Sexy Wrestler of The Week is Davey Richards. This is his first time to win and quite frankly, it kind of came out of nowhere but he deserves it. Why? BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF YOU SAID SO. That’s how voting works. Well… he’s an accomplished wrestler and a paramedic too so, there’s that.

    RichardsSeavers

Here’s a young Davey Richards with his family. Little did he know he would one day win this prestigious award. I bet he’d be smiling if he did know at the time though! His life has had some downs not unlike everyone else. For example, he had a failed USA pilot back in 2008 called “Under Sold.”

    UnderSold

Things are looking way better for this TNA roster member. Will he win again next week? I don’t know. That’s up to you. What I do know is that McDonald’s is offering a large sweet tea for only a dollar. Be sure to grab one tonight with a meal!

    This Or That (5/13/2015)

Everybody loves binary decisions, especially wrestling fans! In This Or That, we’ve forced ourselves to choose between two options that relate to wrestling.

Over four questions, @TimWelcomed, @JoeySplashwater and @TomBlargh will have to choose one of two options and give their reasoning on each of their choices. You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Will Roman Reigns win the WWE Championship in 2015?

    No – 58%, Yes – 42%

    Better tag team?

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd – 77%, The New Day – 23%

Where would you rather see Sami Zayn wrestle full time?

    Raw – 73%, NXT – 27%

    Better Netflix hit series?

    Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – 51%, Daredevil – 49%

More likely to wrestle a match at Wrestlemania 32: Hulk Hogan or Ronda Rousey?

    Shoot attraction stars, brother.

    rousey-hulk

    Tim:

I really don’t think Ronda Rousey will be allowed to wrestle. I can’t make much sense out of Dana White letting her do that. I think it would be awesome but we are way more likely to get Hulk Hogan’s farewell match or whatever the hell it is he’s been talking about for years now. If they do that he’ll have to be the hot tag in a tag match, right? He can’t go out and have a whole match by himself. Anyway, I see him back in the ring at Wrestlemania 32 way before I can see Rousey.

    Hulk Hogan

    Joey:

I just can’t see Dana White allowing his biggest attraction to risk injury and make so much money for WWE unless he gets a large cut out of this. I also don’t think Vince McMahon will pay Dana White to use Ronda Rousey. Maybe she’ll be in the corner of The Rock when he faces Triple H but I just don’t think the politics allows her to wrestle an actual match.

Hulk Hogan may get a weird tag match or some sort of a match that protects his limitations while giving him a leg drop and celebration in Dallas. Hogan just has to convince Vince McMahon one more time. The Ronda Rousey scenario faces more hurdles.

    Hulk Hogan

    Tom:

I have no idea how UFC contracts work but old Dana “As Real As It Gets” White seemed pretty set on young Ronda not getting into the graps properly. So, while her showing up for another segment could happen, I don’t imagine an actual match will.

As for the Hulkster, he’s in the greatest shape of his LIFE. Don’t believe it? Just ask him, brother! He’s ready to pose, deliver some half-speed punches and deliver one (1) powerslam to a wrestler no heavier than 220 pounds ***PLEASE NOTE, NO LEGS WILL BE DROPPED, THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE***.

    Hulk Hogan

More likely to wrestle a match at Wrestlemania 32?

    • Hulk Hogan (67%, 34 Votes)
    • Ronda Rousey (33%, 17 Votes)

    Total Voters: 51

The Devil’s #1 Wrestling Detective Agency: Are AIW and AAW the Same Thing??? – Episode 3

Previously, on The Devil’s #1 Wrestling Detective Agency

    kanewoe
Wow, what a miraculous journey this has been! We’ve revolutionized the mini-series genre to the point that WOE is considering turning us into an anthology series! It is just so wunderbar.

Unfortunately, our show’s administrative costs have gotten out of control. As such, you may not see The Devil’s #1 Wrestling Detective Agency unless you paypal me lots of money straight away. Just paypal me money, and you will almost definitely get more seasons of the show.

    Hour 3(+):

“AIW – Gauntlet for the Gold 2015″

Hour #3 kicks off with Josh Alexander (accompanied by Veda Scott) defending his Absolute Championship against Dick Justice. This was such an interesting styles clash, as Alexander wrestles like a late-2000s indie wrestler that takes himself too seriously, whereas Justice looks and works mostly like a parody of 1980s WWF wrestling. While Justice looked poor at times in the mechanics of pro wrestling, he took his beating well. This was essentially a slightly extended, slightly competitive squash match that Alexander (obviously) won. This would not work as a main event of a show, but it is fine when you have a Royal Rumble-style match on top. A fine effort that accomplished what it needed to. (***) (PS: The AIW fans lived down to their reputation in regards to their taunts at Veda Scott. Trash.) (PS #2: @TomBlargh is The Big Dog.)

ROH/NJPW Global Wars Preview & Predictions

The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett with Maria Kanellis) vs. Matt Sydal & Jushin Thunder Liger

    Deathlock:

So, these Kingdom boys are the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions now, and Maria has a win in New Japan over Amber Gallows. At the last NJPW show, Liger, on commentary, described getting motorboated by Maria and said, well, “It was like having two giant gummy bears against my face” more or less. Then Liger made this hilarious motorboat sound like “pururum pururum” and I swear I’m not making this up. Anyway, I’m sure there will be antics. I am hyped as ever for any Liger match all the time forever and amen.

    Interest Level: (/ω\)
    Prediction: The Kingdom are victorious.

    Joey:

Maria Kanellis vs. Jushin Liger is the hottest feud of the NJPW/ROH shows. The idea of a Matt Sydal and Jushin Liger team just seems like a perfect idea. The Kingdom should have instant chemistry with a team like this and the match should be good. Hopefully they do that over the top rope doomsday on the floor during the week shows at some point.

    Interest Level: 8/10
    Prediction: The Kingdom win

    Brad:

The Kingdom has been so impressive in Japan that they were even able to capture tag team gold. Japan was just what Kingdom needed to boost their stock and looked at as more credible performers. Sydal and Liger should be a pretty good tandem, the ROH faithful should treat Liger as a big star and it will be a hot match to open the show. I am going with Kingdom to take the win here.

    Interest Level: 6/10
    Prediction: The Kingdom win

    Sexy Wrestler of The Week

Let’s rock and roll while we name The Sexy Wrestler of The Week!

What a week it has been! I hope you’ve all had as good of a week as I have. the best part of my week was counting your votes, of course! I can get so much accomplished while counting votes. This week I watched TV, watched stuff on the internet, watched out my window, watched my bookshelf, watched my watch, watched a raccoon eat straight from my fridge because I left my door open, watched stuff on my phone, and I even watched… WRESTLING. Wrestling is my true passion and I will fight for it. That’s not a lie. It is the truth. The votes have been counted and that’s all that matters. Shall we see who you voted to win? I think we shall.

    Slater1

Heath Slater is The Sexy Wrestler of The Week. Be it his studded wrestling boots, his red locks, or his raw energy, you all were really into him this past week. I mean, just look at how photogenic this man is.

    Slater2

    And, uh, there’s this too.

I don’t know… I guess I get it. It’s real and honest. Someone poured their heart into that video. Maybe you will appreciate this fine art.

Grading The Global Force Wrestling Roster Reveal

    Global Force is real!

Jeff Jarrett announced the first few names for his new promotion. Here are the wrestlers and instant reaction to each.

    Chris Masters

    masters

The popular opinion about Chris Masters during his last days in WWE were that he was improving. That thought process has gone on since he was let go by WWE in 2011 but has anyone really seen it? Jeff Jarrett worked with Masters in TNA’s short lived India promotion Ring Ka King but Masters work there was basically just doing the Masterlock challenge. If Jarrett uses him the same way, it’s impossible to get excited about it until he proves himself as more than he was in WWE.

    Grade: C

You can then vote on which one you’d choose, giving you the false impression that you’re somehow involved and we care about your opinion chance to join the conversation!

Before we start, here’s last week‘s results:

Should John Cena bring back the “spinner” United States title?

    No – 63%, Yes – 37%

    Current better non-wrestler?

    Dario Cueto – 52%, Paul Heyman – 48%

    More likely to breakthrough?

    Damien Sandow 59%, Fandango – 41%

Which Marvel film are you more excited to see?

    The Avengers: Age of Ultron – 73%, Ant-Man – 27%

Will Roman Reigns win the WWE Championship in 2015: Yes or No?

Will The Roman Empire take over this year?

    reignschamp

    Tim:

I don’t think WWE has really changed their minds on him outside of giving him a little more time to develop. I’m still not into him but I know a lot of people have changed their minds and would probably welcome it. As of right now I still think him being the face of the company seems like a really boring path for us to be on for the next few years.

He’s been put in some good spots such as being Brock’s punching bag and getting to break tables with The Big Show. I think he’ll be champ by the end of the year for sure. I can’t help but think about how over someone would be if they had tried as hard with someone people already like and was ready for the position.

    Yes

    Joey:

If I had to predict, I think WWE is hoping to make Roman Reigns WWE Champion at Wrestlemania 32. You can tell WWE wants Reigns to be “the next guy” to take John Cena’s place and they are being careful in how they present him following the backlash after his Royal Rumble win. I think the plan is to have him win over the fans by chasing the title and falling short a few times before ultimately winning the championship at WM 32. My early guess would be Reigns defeating Cena for the title next year.

    No

    Tom:

Old Vinny Mac always ends up getting his way so I’m sure we’ll see The Powerhouse with the straps eventually. Not sure if it’ll be this year though – The Fed seems set on having title reigns go a little longer and I’d be surprised to see Rollins lose it before the year is out.

    No

Will Roman Reigns win the WWE Championship in 2015?

    • No (58%, 33 Votes)
    • Yes (42%, 24 Votes)

    * Batista was a guest on the WJFK radio morning show this morning and revealed that he dated Kelly Kelly a few months ago. “She’s just a young girl,” he said. “She was a little immature for a 21 year-old.” He said their age difference was the main reason the relationship didn’t last. Batista also said he became star struck when he saw 58-year-old actress Morgan Fairchild at the Democratic National Convention earlier this year. “Hey, I’m old, man,” he said when the hosts laughed at him.

Batista also stated that he was once stuck in a limousine with Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan. Batista said it was an “uncomfortable” situation for him to be in. “They started touching on a few things and I thought, ‘Man, I wish I wasn’t here.'” He added that he accidentally offended Hogan once by doing a bad impersonation of him while being interviewed on ESPN.
